If it's a book by Bill Wallace, it's the best book you'll EVER read!!! I'm a total Bill Wallace Fan for sure!!! MY absolute FAVORITE book is by him and it is called: Blackwater Swamp. My other most FAVORITES are: Trapped in Death Cave, Pick of the Litter, No Dogs Allowed, and I forgot the name of the other one-- it's my 2nd favorite book ever!! You will love Bill Wallace books!!!!!

In 4th grade (and possibly a bit of early 5th, though I don't remember), I read any book of his that I could get my hands on. A Dog Called Kitty, Pick Of The Litter, Beauty (isn't it interesting that Beauty and ADCK both include an MC with a horse named Beauty? And in both books, the MC's favorite pet, on/after whom the story is based and the title named, dies, and shortly an animal appears to the MC who looks just like the original, and acts similarly? A bit too similar, if you ask me, but I know I didn't used to mind.), Trapped In Death Cave, No Dogs Allowed, you name it. I haven't read anything of his lately, though.

Yes, I'm definitely a total bookworm, too. I've never met Bill Wallace, though. Does he live near the Austin area? (That would actually be a bit annoying, because I lived in Austin when I read most of his books, and now I'm near Houston, but I do visit there sometimes. It would be interesting to know that he was close by.)

No, sorry. Bill Wallace lives in Oklahoma!
I used to go there a visit him when my grandparents lived there!
Now they live next door to me in Texas, so I don't get to see him anymore!

Hi Vida! I read Bill Wallace's books awhile ago: No Dogs Allowed, Goosed!, and maybe a few others. I really enjoyed them: the dogs warmed my heart, and the plots were interesting. Like Ima, I don't really read them anymore, but I thought they were lovely when I read them.
