Anne of Green Gables
So has anyone...
So has anyone read it? Or any of the sequels? Watched the movies? What is your opinion?

Kendra! Oh good, I've found you. It's your turn to choose a book for the book club.
Anyway, I read AoGG and most of its sequels (I stopped after Anne's House of Dreams, I think) a few years ago. I liked them, but I eventually became tired of them and stopped. I may want to try them again, though.

To the top! Kendra must see this!

Oh I loved Anne of Green Gables. I never read any of the sequels, though.

I've read it, and I loved it! I've also read nearly all of the sequels, and I saw the prequel in a bookstore. Then we had to leave, so I never got to read it. I forget what it was called.

Yes, I really like Anne of Green Gables, and I read all the ones about kids, too (several times :). As in, I skipped 2, 3, 4, and 5, I believe. But over the summer I plan to read those.

Kendra , I love the Anne of Green Gables series. My favorite book in the series is Anne of Windy Poplars. The movies are really good but don't even compare to how good the books are.

What are the sequels for this book?

Mango: I think the prequel might have been Before Green Gables. But there are plenty of Anne books, and this one is written by Budge Wilson. It's, of course, about Anne's life before Green Gables. Of course, the book you might have seen might be different, but I was just suggesting. ;-)
Vida: I shall put them in the order of first to last:
Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island, Anne of Windy Poplars (Anne of Windy Willows for those outside of US and Canada) Anne's House of Dreams, Anne of Ingleside, Rainbow Valley, Rilla of Ingleside, and finally, The Blythes Are Quoted.
Everyone: I'm currently reading Anne of Green Gables. I did a theatre camp for two weeks, and the production we did was Anne of Green Gables, and since I, for some reason, own two copies of the book, have decided to read it. It was a little hard at first. But now it's hard to put down. (I haven't picked it up since church this morning, so I don't have a hard time not putting it down) I love Anne's character. Although I'm still wondering what, "bosom" is, (from bosom friend). In the musical I did, I think the Kindred Spirits part is pretty funny, but I'm kind of sick of it now because of how many times I had to watch it. (in the book, I'm still at the part where Anne comes home from Sunday School) I also saw the movie, up to the part where Marilla has to apologize about Diana getting drunk.
Fun fact: One of the teachers at the musical camp I went to, was a student of Megan Follows' brother. (Megan Follows played Anne in the Anne of Green Gables 1985 film) Megan Follows apparently comes from a "Crazy Theatrical family" (quoting my teacher). Laterz!
A bosom friend is a very close friend, what you'd call a BF or BFF today.

OMJ! I just finished Anne of Green Gables. It was great! I really love the ending (except for Matthew) I'm a bit of a sucker for romance. :-P I put Anne of Avonlea on hold. Ooh, I can't wait to read it!
