I've been reading...

I've been reading through the Pure Dead series by Debi Gliori. The first book is called Pure Dead Magic. Then come Pure Dead Wicked; Pure Dead Brilliant; Pure Dead Trouble; Pure Dead Batty; and Pure Dead Frozen. They are about ... a family ... where the mother is a failed witch ... and -- nope, can't tell you that, spoiler. They're about a family who live in their big house in Scotland, StregaSchloss, with their butler and horrible cook and nanny (who's something like Mary Poppins but less strict and very cool), and their yeti, Knot; their dragon, Ffup; their griffin, Sab; their moat-guarding crocodile, Tock; the -- nope, can't tell you that, spoiler; Tarantella, the spider with attitude; and Multitudina the Illiterat and her many children. They are very funny. I've been enjoying them.
