Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Fairy Tale Retold Series
Has anyone read...
Has anyone read these amazing books? There are four in this series, Shadow of the Bear, Black as Night, and Waking Rose are all about the same characters. Midnight Dancers, (my least favorite), is about completely different characters. They are so great, that I cried when I finished the last one. I didn't want them to end! These books are not really found in libraries, more like Catholic book stores. Even if you aren't Catholic, these books send a great message, and do not continually push the Catholic theme. There is tons of action and some romance. They are fabulous books! I recommend these spectacular books to everyone!

Never read them, but they sound good! :)
(When I read the title, I immediately thought of Politically Correct Fairytales... ML, didn't you say you read them? /random

@ Lovely L: Yes, that's what I thought of too. :) Politically Correct Fairy Tales and Once Upon A More Enlightened Time by James Finn Garner. An excellent sporking of both fairy tales and PC hype.
@ R~D~: I'll check them out. *dosen't want to read To Kill a Mockingbird right now*
Despite its apparent amazingness. ;)

Huh. I read Les Miserables to avoid reading Pride and Prejudice. I did read both, though, and Les Mis was better. :/
And I've never read Once Upon A More Enlightened Time... just the first one. :)

I'm reading PaP... Too long, Jane Austen. *Too long*.
Once Upon A More Englightened Time is definitely worth reading, if only for the Politically Correct Alphabet at the beginning. XD

Haha, they are not politically correct. :) I forgot to mention the author: Regina Doman. You should really read them. They're super!
Spamboy: Tide. Like the brand of bleach... or is he telling me it is low tide and I should go to the beach today, which actually sounds like a nice idea. Thanks, Spamboy. ;)

I looked them up on amazon, and will probabaly get them. :) Thanks for the recomendation!
Haha, Spamboy says wwoo. Wooo? Are these books scary?
(March 15, 2010 - 3:35 pm)
Actually, yes, they are pretty scary. But real. The things the bad guys do are awful. But the scarier thing is, people actually are like that. *shivers* I probably wouldn't recommend them for younger children. I won't give an age... it depends on maturity. I might make them sound more scary than they are though. ;) Stupendous books. I am SOOO happy you are looking into them!!!!
Spamboy says "oufe". He's hurt! Are you okay, Spamboy?
