The Last Lecture
Has anyone read...

Has anyone read The Last Lecture? It was written by Randy Pausch, a professor at a university called Carnegie Mellon. He got diagnosed with terminal cancer, and he was asked to give a "Last Lecture". Some people probably thought it would be about dying, but it was about living. He titled it Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams. This probably sounds really boring, but it isn't. His book is really interesting; his point of view is completely unique, and instead of feeling completely down, he is making every day his best. I think people could really benefit from reading The Last Lecture because it's really thought provoking. It totally changes your view of the world. Randy Pausch died two years ago, and I have only just now read his book. It's worth reading. I think it's really sad that he died when he had three little kids.

Sorry my thoughts are so fragmented. It's just that he's one of my role models, and I admire him a lot. He knew he was going to die, and he faced it head on and managed to still be the same awesome person despite that fact. Has anyone seen The Last Lecture, or read the book?

P.S. Spam-Boy/Andy says wook. Does that mean book? He likes to read!

No, but now I want to read it!  After reading this, I went on Amazon and browsed some of the reviews.  It is now in my "To Read" pile.

Yeah! That was our first book club book this year! It's a heck of a lot more interesting than it sounds, too. My only issue was Tastes Like Diabetes, but that's just me.

A girl I've gone to school with for quite a few years (Not a friend, though, really. She think she's really cool and hangs out with the so called "popular" girls. She was nice in elementary school, it seems . . . Anywho . . .)) read it a while ago. I've thought about reading it.

I haven't tehnically 'read' it, but my mom listened to it on tape and I heard bits of it. They were good.
