This is NOT
Chatterbox: Blab About Books
This is NOT A WARRIORS THREAD! (no offense) I just thought that with all the Warriors threads, the front page needed something, newer, fresher. No offense to anyone. It's just that it was getting a little annoying. I am here to discuss, SOME OF THE WORST BOOKS OF HISTORY (no offense to any of the authors, which I doubt go on the site). With that said, here are some of my least favourite books:
1) Warriors series. Sorry! EHunters are great writers, but the names were SO CONFUSING! I had to keep going to the front to find out who was being referred to. I gave up quarter way into the book.
2) Spy Force, mission: Hollywood. I thought this series would be interesting, given the name, (I guess) something with hard-core action. But it turned out to be a) really unrealistic with the "Time and Space Machine" and stuff like that. b) very un-action-filled, I prefer action and stuff like that. I think this would appeal to nine year olds and down though.
3) The Scooby Doo books my bro has. They are so badly-written (the plot's okay, it's just the way the author writes it down and stuff). I could have written them. By the way, they're the Reader 2 stuff or something like that. Not novels. I'm not sure if they even have Scooby Doo novels.
4) Tangerine. Didn't make much sense. Talked about soccer a lot. Some people might like it. I didn't. Very bad a soccer-stuff.
Laterz!
P.S. This probably won't get posted, I just felt like speaking my mind.

K, let's see if I can remember...
1) A Series of Unfortunate Events. These books were funny at times, but they bugged me. Just his style in general. Also, he wrote it so you would have all these questions, then he didn't bother answering them. SO frustrating.
Can't think of anything else right now. About your list: I haven't read any of them.

top!
(February 20, 2010 - 9:48 am)
Yeah, I guess. The Unfortunate Event series was pretty questionable. And I think I've read some other bad books. (AKA, the ones I didn't want to finish) But I can't remember them all. By the way, EHunter is four writers. (and two manga dudes). To the TOP! (to take out some Warriors threads. No offense)

Yeah, A series Of Unfortunate Events was confusing. Soccer is my favorite sport, so I liked Tangerine.

I don't think A Series of Unfourtunate Events was bad. I was having so much fun reading it and laughing out loud that I hardly even thought about all my questions.
Let's think...I generally don't read books that don't sound interesting to me. I'm trying to remember one I didn't like...I give up.
But if you read A Wrinkle in Time and loved it, DO NOT watch the movie! It is awful, it took out so much from the book, I was in tears of boredom by the end of it.

Twilight.
(February 20, 2010 - 5:48 pm)
Still waiting for the other three (now four) comments to show up. I can only see three right now. Very annoying. *sighs* By the way, my really name (in la la land sense) is Bobfred, but you people might think I'm two people so I changed my name to Bobfrid. Laterz! *still waiting for comments to show up* two seconds later *wishes to be in new Angelina Jolie movie Salt as leading man, if there is one*
(February 20, 2010 - 7:13 pm)
I can see all the comments!
Callie: I've never read the Twilight series, or seen the movies. But my mom *coughs* mother once borrowed Twilight. (She's ??? I would just say old.) But I saw some nine-year-olds read it. One (who I think is very annoying) brought her ticket to school. I don't know why, but she showed it to me. The other was a nine-year-old boy. (scary, huh?) He probably got interested in it because his sister's in grade six. (But she skipped a grade.)
Laterz! Oh how much I love this auto fill that fills in my significant amount of words that are in the Location box. Checking out the Muse blog now.

1. Twilight and its sequels. Between the moral dissonance, flat, annoying characters, and the *sparkles*... Plus the villains all died. D:
2. Eragon. Again, moral dissonance, especially in Brisingr. Which I have yet to finish. Discworld got in the way. Eragon is a sociopath, though. You know I'm right.
3. Catcher in the Rye. Just... Nothing happens, and the protagonist is a whiney little person who does nothing but angst.

*Gasps in horrer* HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT WARRIORS IS ONE OF THE WORST BOOKS IN HISTORY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! YOUR SERIOUSLY CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(February 22, 2010 - 5:09 pm)
Um... Twilight is all that comes to mind right now. I didn't really care for Juniper, but I've heard from people who love it, so I'm probably not a good judge. Oh! Pendragon! It was terrible! I read the first book and couldn't go on! There was no plot (well, there was, but it was very vague and cliché) and the MC was an overly-emotional Gary Stu. (I've been spending too much time reading from you guys--I can abbreviate Main Character and use the term Gary Stu! Haha...)
The problem is, if a book is really bad, and if I'm not required to read it, I don't finish or remember it. I figure if I really hate it, it's not worth spending my time on.
Oh, and Olivia, it's "horror".

Look, I understand that you may be surprised, and you may not understand why people don't like the Warriors series, but that doesn't mean you should yell. Just because someone doesn't like your favorite series of books doesn't make them crazy! I actually love Warriors, but you don't see me complaining! Different people just have different opinions, that's all.
*considers mentioning her least favorite books* *decides not to, for fear of something like this happening* *will still post opinions on books here that she has read*
I loved ASoUE, actually.
I loved AWiT and haven't seen the movie, nor do I plan to now that I've seen this.
I loved Eragon, too, but I'll admit that the moral dissonance and sociopath MC are undeniable.

I have to agree, warriors is pretty good. but it is sort of boring and such since EHunter is running out of ideas, so it is fine, and pretty cool in general, but there are better books.
(March 12, 2010 - 7:29 pm)
Sorry Olivia. The Warriors series are well written, but I just don't like animal books. (maybe it also has something to do with how many Warriors threads are on BaB) Sorry!
(February 23, 2010 - 12:29 pm)
Okay, Bobfred/Bobfrid... I suppose it's all right... after all, not EVERYONE should have to love Warriors!
