"They were the troubled girls of Dragomir Academy---breaking, but never broken---and they had stories to tell." - The Troubled Girls of Dragomir Academy, Anne Ursue

"The other is that back in our own world everyone soon started saying how Eustace had improved, and how 'You'd never know him for the same boy,' everyone except Aunt Alberta, who said he had become very commonplace and tiresome and it must have been the influence of those Pevensie children." -The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, by C.S. Lewis

"'Maybe I'll write a book about it.'" -Time at the Top, by Edward Ormondroyd

"They have all Eternity to do it." -A Proud Taste for Scarlet and Miniver, by E.L. Konigsburg

"She tucked her head and legs in, and very slowly, in letters visible only to those who have read this story, her shell spelled out two words: THE END" -Momo, by Michael Ende

And this is more than one sentence, but I love it anyway: "Merlin's remembered voice, clear across twenty years and more, was in Arthur's memory, and it was the day that he received Excalibur. 'Away over yonder - away to the West - there lies Ynys Witrin, the Glass Island; Avalon of the Apple Trees, that is the threshold between the world of men and the Land of the Living...' Merlin's voice seemed actually in his head. 'And not far off is Camlann, the place of the last battle... Nay, but that is another story, for another day as yet far off...'

The voice faded, and he was back in the orchard below Camelot, and it was not Merlin with him, but Lancelot. And the voice in his ears was his own. 'It grows late,' he said, 'let us be going in to the feasting, to make welcome our newest-come knight of the Round Table." -The Sword and the Circle, by Rosemary Sutcliff

Maybe for these we could put the books the quotes are from in bold and before the quote? In case of spoilers, so people know if they have or have not read the book? But cool idea! Ending sentences are often so satisfying~

I'll come back with some of my own later!

"It eluded us then, but that's no matter. Tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther... and one fine morning-- so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past." - The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald
