Hi! I need...
Hi! I need some book recommendations. I'm almost 13, so please base your refs partly on that :)
My favourite genres are Fantasy and Realistic Fiction. I do not really want to start a series right now, unless it's only 2 or 3 books. Thanks!

I read a lot of older, heavier stuff but I'll try :) I think you'd like A Snicker of Magic by Natalie Lloyd, We Dream of Space by Erin Entrada Kelly, The Apothecary by Maile Meloy, Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke, Book Scavenger by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman, and The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune.
I especially loved The Apothecary and The House in the Cerulean Sea. I hope you find something good :D

Over the Moon is a good stand alone book, Odder is realistic fiction. I'll add more when I think of it.

All the Dan Gemeinhart books as well! They are more realistic fiction. There's books like the Midnight Children, the Honest Truth, Scar Island, Good Dog, and others.

i really like every soul a star by wendy mass, really good light read, and its a standalone.
i'm not entirely sure if you'll like this, it's a bit heavier, but its called lovely war by julie berry. amazing novel, basically its a story of two people told by aphrodite, set in world war ll i believe.

Oh my goodness! I literally saw The Inheritance Games at a book store, after I’d read your post, and was like “Why does that sound so familiar?” BUT didn’t get it because I had limited book money. I’m going to go back today to get it! XD Thanks for the reccomendation! ;)

Have you read Wonder by R. J. Palacio? It's realistic fiction, one of my favorites :) There's also Auggie and Me, by Palacio, which is just as good.
Here are some more recs:
-King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, by Roger Lancelyn Green
-Magic or Not by Edward Eager - both realistic fiction and fantasy, if such a thing is possible :)
-Roller Skates by Ruth Sawyer
-Daddy Long-Legs by Jean Webster
-Momo by Michael Ende
-Prince Caspian by C. S. Lewis
-Lucky Lady by Susan Saunders
-The Trumpeter of Krakow by Eric P. Kelly - it's historical fiction and it's really good
think that's it, lmk if you'd like any more suggestions!

Greenglass House and accompanying books (by Kate Milford) are great; they aren't really a series but they are a bunch of books set in the same world.

If you are looking for realistic fiction books, the book Caddie Woodlawn is a amazing story that has a relistic/historic fiction theme. I love Taylor Swift too!
