This is a place to talk about picture books or children's books you've read, if anyone else is still a fan of them.
They're such an interesting form of art, and there are so many good classics. They look deceivingly easy to write, however.
The book of the character I chose to be is Bread and Jam for Frances, which used to be my favorite book (because of it, I would eat jam with most types of bread whenever I could get it, which was 90% of the year) We also own Bedtime for Frances and A Baby Sister for Frances.
Reveal date is April 1st (if anyone else has a picture book sentiment, it doesn't seem like most people do but I could be wrong)

I love picture books! I'd post as another, but I think I'd get guessed quicker so I went with second favorite! I generally love all of Mo Willems books, but his Piggy and Gerald books are great!

I've never read the Piggy and Gerald books, but I think I've seen them before...are they the ones with the elephant wearing glasses and the pig (is the pig also wearing glasses)?

This was the first book I memorized. To be fair, the only words were "higher higher", "high five", and "again".

One of my favorite picture books. I don't really read picture books all that much anymore, but they are still good.

@Chicka Chicka Boom, are you WildWolf or Cloud Bunny? I've never read the picture book version of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, but I did watch the Scholastic Weston Woods animated version (I watched hours of those when I was little). I love the art style (some of my favorite picture books with great artwork are the illustrator of Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears, the work of Eric Carle, the work of Ezra Jack Keats, and the work of Leo Lionni) :D Picture books would never be complete without their illustrations (well, there is The Book With No Pictures, but I've never read that one)

Yes, I'm Celine :) your random guessing worked! Btw, thank you so much for making this thread!! I LOVEEE picture books!! And I think the Pigeon is from those Pigeon books by Mo Williems? Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, Don't Let the Pigeon Get a Puppy or smth...? Which, AWESOME books, I LOVE the Pigeon, and for that matter, Piggy and Gerald too! AND Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and the Eric Carle books and OH MY The Book With No Pictures you should read it I remember it being one of my favorite books ever!! I haven't read the Frances books though...
but picture books are awesome!! And I feel like they're dismissed a lot as like "kiddie books that aren't important" or whatever, but they talk about a lot of serious topics too, and yeah aren't as easy to write as they seem, and YES the art!!

You're welcome! I was originally thinking of doing Children's books in general (and joining as the BFG because I think that's a fun idea, and hard to guess?), but I decided on picture books :)
Oh, yes, I've seen the pigeon books before; they're so cute :) I haven't read them though. Maybe I should go into a library and just browse for picture books (I wonder if people would stare lol).
