Hm, so we're doing this in Honors right now. Anyone else read stuff by him? Personally, I think he has really fake and forced humor, but that's just me. Others?

Koffee, you mixed up your name and the title of the thread. ;)

Personally, I *love* Mark Twain. He can be long-winded at times, and his dialect gets /really/ annoying sometimes (*coughTomSawyercough*) but I still really like him. For me he's one of those people who is boring and rambly get still somehow funny and interesting... Yeah, I just called him boring and interesting at the same time. I'm alreasy in Thanksgiving break mode. Sorry. :)

He reminds me a bit of Tolkien. I liked Tolkien's subject matter a great deal more, but they have a similar style of writing.

It's okay. :) I just thought it was interesting that a book was title Koffee, with a non-standard spelling, kind of like Koffee on CB...wait a second! But yeah. I am actually sadly lacking in the area of Mark Twain things. I'm a little more experienced with Dickens.

Oooh!  Mark Twain!  I like him quite a bit, his humor can be pretty funny.  Last year in sixth grade, we read Tom Sawyer and then did a Tom Sawyer play.  At first I was the part of Mark Twain (narrating the whole thing) and I used my mom's white suit that she had in the back of her closet and I watched a video Hal Holbrook playing Mark Twain and doing a monologue.  Then the person playing Huckleberry Fin got booted out and I was appointed the role.  It was quite fun!  Oh and did you know that Tom Sawyer was taken out of some school library because it exhibited boys with bad behavior and they didn't want anyone getting ideas.  *shakes head and mutters something about classic literature*

Meh. Last year in drama, I had to do an excerpt of that with my friend. I was Becky :P He was Tom....Tom was in love with Becky. I had to perform it in front of my entire drama class. A few days prior I found out my friend had a crush on me. It was quite awkward....*shudder*
