Chatterbox: Blab About Books

This book is kind of freaky, but very mysterios, interesting, and mystical. The author is Avi, a famous author, who at least some of you probably know. This book is about a girl who's a rich heiress. She's orphaned and her Uncle & Aunt take her in. However she has an adopted black sister, who the relatives do not adopt. This infuriates her, and so, when her Uncle's buisness gets in trouble, they ask her to sign the papers giving them the money to fix his buisness. She decides not to sign unless they stop treating her sister as a slave. They don't budge, and don't feed her until she signs. She doesn't budge either, and so she starvs to death.

Later, their is an apprentice photographer who is supposed to take a picture of the Aunt. Somehow, there seems to be a ghost of the dead girl above her left should. Every time he takes a picture of Aunty, the ghost becomes less blurry every time, until finally, she looks realistic. After taking the last picture, he sees something that looks like her flee. The slave-sister says she wants revenge on the Aunt & Uncle.

If you don't like ghosts/mysteries, don't read it no matter what you do. If you do like mystery & ghosts, read it. I liked it, but it freaked me out so much that I need to know a parent is near, or I panic. (It's kinda that my heart thinks my Mom can protect me from something without substance.)
