Ahoy!
Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Reading: The Source of All Writing
Ahoy! ...
Ahoy!
Now, I know that a load of you are authors, story-tellers, day dreamers (I assure you, all authors are), or just a kid, who likes to write junk-stories on their homework. From personal experience, our minds are always buzzing. Everywhere around us we find inspiration we can feed our novels. At the museum, we decide to add a little history about The Battle of Roncevaux Pass into our novel. At the bakery, sparks of new, imaginative food that you can already taste hither on your lips. On the family roadtrip, the mountains are a the inspiration for your creative land. However, I don't know about you, but reading is the ultimate source to writing. After I read The Lord of the Rings, I was itching to write. I just finished the Hunger Game seiries... and my writing has already improved. Not only does reading escalate grammar quality... but the pages unfold more creativly. So, here in this little chit-chat, I wanted to know if any of you have any books that really really inspired you. Books are so amazing, so here, let's rejoice in the delight of ink on pages, and also, the delight of putting ink on pages.
"Books, Ho!"
Fair winds, great adventurer!

Yes, good books inspire me so much. Sometimes they just inspire me to day dream (which usually leads to writing), sometimes they inspire me write, and sometimes the urge me to do both! Your thread starting post was very well written, I enjoyed reading it very much.
Below are a couple of the books that inspire me:
The Lord of the Rings, by J. R. R. Tolkien
Swan Lake, and A City in Winter, by Mark Helprin
