Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Fiction
Heyo everyone! ...

Heyo everyone!

I'm new here, and I know these books have probably been talked about 100 times, but here are some of my favorites: Percy Jackson, The Kane Chronicals,  Wings Of Fire, Cleopatra In Space, The Luck Uglies, Warriors, Harry Potter, Seraphina, Septimus Heap, Tomb Quest, and so many others! I'm open to recimondations, and always like to talk!

Welcome to the Chatterbox LibraryCat! I love to see a fellow fiction lover! Have you ever heard of Keeper of the Lost Cities? It's one of my favorite fiction books/series along with Nevermoor/Morrigan Crow. I think most people call it the Morrigan Crow series, but I call it Nevermoor. If not, you should totally check those out!

A couple of other awesome fiction books (All Serieses):

~The Inheritence Game (Kinda like the Westing Games if you've ever heard of it, without the murder. The Westing Games is a good one to read too, but it is an old book)

~The Missing: Found (The Missing Series - Found is the first book. It is sci-fi I think)

~The Mysterious Benedict Society (Finished that one last night - Amazing! Also watching the show!)

~Shadow School: Archimancy (Shadow School Series is what it usually goes by)

~A Murder Most Unladylike (British Book and series - can be difficult to understand at times)

~Explorer Academy (Sci-Fi here as well - still awesome!)

~Masterminds (I think you might call this sci-fi? Not sure...)

~Book Scavenger (No notes on this one, I believe.)

~Secret Series  The first book is The Name of This Book is Secret)

And...I could go on and on. I hope these help! It's great to meet you LibraryCat! I hope to type you around!

Oh my gosh, I've read 6 out of 9 of those books. Now I know I have to check out the other three! Also, I'll add to your list :)

~ The endling series: book one is called The Last, book two, The First, and book three, The Only

~ The Pandava Quintet, often called the aru shah series (it's the best Rick Riordan presents book I've read!)

~ The Aurora Cycle (YA): Book one is  Aurora rising, book two is Aurora burning, and book three, Aurora's end, is coming out soon! These are hands down the best sci-fi books I've ever read. No joke.

~ The Lightning Queen: great book, great characters, great culture exposition, great plot... I could go on and on.

The Aru Shah books are great! I think they would make a really good animated TV show. They're like Percy Jackson but funnier, and better because the main character isn't a white male.

Ditto! I also like that the girls take the stage instead of being awesome but still somewhat stuck to the sidelines. Two other great Rick Riordan presents are Race to the Sun, by Rebecca Roanhorse (Native American mythology) and Dragon Pearl, by Yoon Ha Lee (Korean mythology & sci-fi)

I am here for one reason and one reason only.

To express how genius the fourth book was in the 39 clues series.

-Spoilers for book 4 ahead-

The fourth book of the 39 clues series is called 'Beyond the Grave', and the two main characters (Dan and Amy) travel to Egypt. Basically, their family (Cahill) is powerful and stuff, and there are four branches (like the four hogwarts houses), and they each have different 'strongholds' around the world, which are kind of like headquarters where they plot world domination and stuff. Amy and Dan have to get into a headquarters for the family branch called Ekaterina, and it's conveniently located in a hotel. The concierge asks them something along the lines of, 'And who's family name are you checking in under? You need to be part of the registered list of Ekaterinas'. Amy says, "Oh." in mild surprise, or something like that. And then. And then. The concierge goes, "Oh? Alright, I'll check you in under that name." Because a famous member of the Ekaterina branch was called Alistair Oh.

I'm wheezing from laughter right now. The author is literally a genius.

Welcome, LibraryCat!

Apologies, but at the time, BaB, isn't quite active.

I can always be found on DtE or Puddings Place or CaC or Inkwell, just post a thread with "@th3mysticw0lf" as it's title, and I'll reply within a while.

Wings of Fire is awesome, though! So is Harry Potter.

Rn I'm...not really into any books. Im rereading harry potter, but that's about it.

Got it! It's cool to meet another HP fan. whats ur fav ship, not made by the author? Mine is Luna x Neville. They didn't end up getting marryied, which is why I consider it a none-author made ship. Type you around!

Hmm...Would have to be...Probably harry x ginny. idk why its just cool.

anyhoo, my favorite ship is most likely dramione or drarry [please dont hate on me. theyre just superior.] but that's fanon, not canon.

*large sigh*

I do kind of ship Draco and Harry, because I think that part of why Malfoy is such a jerk to Harry is that he can see that Harry doesn't like him. But he's still a total jerk. I also think Neville has a crush on Hermione ;) but I like Neville and Luna too.

Also does anyone else ship Frodo and Sam?
