Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Scythe by Neal Shusterman
These. Books. Are....
These. Books. Are. So. Good. Has anyone else read them? The worldbuilding is amazing. No book 3 spoilers, please, I haven't finished yet. I don't know who my favorite character is -- I feel like it tells rather than shows characterization too much -- but it might have to be Greyson? I don't know?

YESSS these are some of my favorite books!! I totally agree with you, although I never thought about the show-versus-telling thing, that's kinda true, hm. favorite character...I can't choose XD but greyson is a good choice.
kali said a word! "chafe". what does that mean?

Chafe is, like, making something be bothered or flake by rubbing it.
(Spoilers for book three!!!)
I finished the third book, and the characters should not have just run off to space while expecting the problems in the world/scytherdom to fix themselves expecially because the last two books were about how the world/scythedom was collapsing.
Yaaay so glad someone else has read these books! I have a friend who'se a lot like Citra.

Heyy my cousin made me read these (in return for her reading Alex Rider) and I'm only halfway through book 3 but they're really cool!
Scythe Faraday is my favorite character, Scythe Curie probably a close second (a moment of silence, everyone), and Citra and Rowan are tied for third I guess. Don't get me wrong, I love 'em both, but I still like their mentors better
The Thunderhead is fascinating.
If I were a scythe I would want to be either Scythe Eliza Schuyler (and my cousin would be Scythe Angelica Schuyler) or Scythe Amy Carmichael.
