Okay, first things...

Okay, first things first I am a total fan of JK Rowling

AND HER NEW BOOK JUST CAME OUT!!! (I think maybe in March it did but whatevs)

I entered in the illustration contest, I didn't get in the book but I always like a good art contest. I went down to the bookstore Russo's with my grandma (this was in Bakersfield, we were visiting) and I saw they had one copy of the book for sale. I flipped through it and I saw it had some awesome illustrations.  And then I heard that she wouldn't be writing anymore!!! So yeah I got a little depressed by that but I want to know what you guys think of her new book, The Ickabog!

Oooh, I like J.K. rowling too! It didn't know she had a new book out, but I will check it out!

I LOOOVED it!!!!!! It did have amazing illustrations, and I wish I had known about it so that I could enter the contest. I got the book for Christmas, and immediately loved it!

OMG!! I loved that book so much! The descriptions were so amazing! I loved the drawings too, it added a pop and twist to the pages! She is such an amazing author!!

I didn't like this book. The most interesting part, in my opinion, was the villain- and not because his personality or motives or anything were cool, but because his plans got increasingly ridiculous and I couldn't tell if he was brilliant or insane. I found most of the characters boring and there were far too many of them, and I thought the "twist" was very underwhelming.

Then again, my opinion might be soured by my feelings toward JK Rowling as both a person and an author.

Oh yeah! I read it when she was posting it chapter by chapter online, but I haven't bought it. I liked it a lot, although it was really annoying to wait for eaach chapter to come out! But I know it takes a long time to write so I'm not mad at her.

Yes I agree JK Rowling is a good author but I think she's also a bad person so I don't support her and her books anymore. Also the Ickabog was very dark just saying
