This sounds like a fun thread! My favorite character is Hermione, because I've got a lot in common with her. What's your Hogwarts house? I've always been torn between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. :)

Me too! I think I'm more of a Ravenclaw but Hufflepuffs are so underrated and nice. Plus, their name is amazing. Hufflepuff. It's just so fun to say. xD

Hey there fellow Harry Potter nerds. My wizarding name is Electra Blazedye, Ravenclaw, patronus is a white mare, I can't remember my wand off the top of my head but I think it's dragon heartstring. As you can see I'm just a little bit obsessed XD
Favorite character is Hermione, but Luna is cool as well. For some reason I really like Dramione (Hermione x Draco; don't hate on me for it) but I like any ship including Romione, Drarry, and really anything. Favorite book is the Goblet of Fire.
Is Harry Potter amazing? Yes. Are the characters super well developed? Yes. Is the writing incredible? Of course. Is it just a l i t t l e bit overreated? Mayybee... OK DON'T KILL ME just hear me out; I love HP so much but it's sooo overpublicized (like it's sooo famous that everyone knows who the golden trio is) that I had a hard time connecting with the characters in the first few books. Don't get me wrong, I love HP, but there are a lot of other book series out there that deserve some love too that are kinda overshadowed by HP's freakish popularity.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my little rant, byee!

I totally get it! Harry Potter is great, but really there are a ton of other books that deserve some love too :)
My friend LOVES Drarry. I mean, she literally is obsessed.

Hi H. Mangolia! I like Drarry too, it's a fun ship :) Anyway, some suggestions for you are the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer (pretty much anything by Marissa Meyer but the Lunar Chronicles is a good place to start). Also if you haven't already read Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan then I HIGHLY recommend it; it opens up a whole new world consisting of around 25 books. The Keeper of the Lost Cities series by Shannon Messenger is great, you should check that out. There's a bunch more, let me know if you need any more suggestions if these don't seem appealing to you :)

PJO FOREVER YES. Have you read Heroes of Olympus yet? I have to say, it's better than the Percy Jackson books :P Also, Artemis can't have children, but maybe you can be a hunter of Artemis instead :) My godly parent is Hecate, I think. She's pretty cool, especially if you've read Heroes of Olympus. Also ANNABETH IS THE BEST in Percy Jackson, at least. Okay, got to go now, read you around!

I have to agree with Silver Crystal. I love Harry Potter but it outshines so many series such as Heroes of Olympus which is famous but not as. Then again I may be biased because I am obssesed with PJO HOO TOP and anything Rick Riordan.
P.S Please don't kill me the last time I said it was kinda overrated my friend tried to glare/stare me to death

I am such a Potter nerd! I have read all the books and watched all the movies except for the Deathly Hallows Part 2. For my 10th birthday, my parents got me tickets to the Cursed Child play.
My favorite character is either Luna Lovegood or Remus Lupin. Luna because she's such a unique and individual character and Lupin because Defense Against the Dark Arts would be my favorite Hogwarts subject and Lupin is the only DADA teacher who turned out to be good. In the movies, I really love Moaning Myrtle. She's just so funny and dramatic.

Yayyyy! Harry Potter thread! :D These books are like a second home to me, which sounds weird but is true.
My favorite characters are Ginny and Luna. Ginny's character develops a lot from her being this tiny shy girl in the first one, to being a totally hilarious and kick butt Quidditch player in the last few. And Luna is just...yes.
Does anyone want to do Harry Potter trivia? (You can tell I'm a real nerd.)
