Everyone needs to read the book The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise by Dan Geimenhart. It was the book for the original original CB book club, and it was amazing. It made me laugh, cry, jump up and down, and everything in between. It may be in the top 5 books I've ever read.

Some other really good books are The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill, Adventures of a Girl Called Bicycle by Christina Uss, Valiant by Sarah McGuire, The Whiz Mob and the Grenadine Kid by Colin Meloy, and Heart of a Samurai by Margi Preus.

I may be back with some more recommendations.

Okey doke, here are some of my favorite books that I think y'all should read.

The Girl Who Drank The Moon, by Kelly Barnhill.  So good, y'all. I read once in fourth grade, twice in fifth, and again in sixth because I love it so freaking much. If I had to pick one book from this list that you should read, it would be this one. If you like magic, good witches, a beautifully entangled plot, a touch of mystery, and the occasional dragon, this book is for you.

ShadowMagic, by Joshua Khan. This book (and the rest of the trilogy, DreamMagic and BurningMagic) is full with magic (duh), fantastical beings, treachary, bravery, an amazing queen and her queendom, and a really cute ghostly puppy.

The Problim Children, by Natalie Lloyd. This series (so far, two books) is about a set of seven siblings named the Problim children (Problim their last name). When their house unexpectedly implodes, they decide to move into their grandfather's abandoned home in the town of Lost Cove. But there's something strange about the town. The neighbors are scared - not just of them, but of the long-ago feud no one can forget. Not to mention the threat of their rich neighbor, Desdmona O'Pinion, who seems determined to split them apart and take the house for herself. As the mysteries their grandfather left behind begin to unravel, so does the truth about the town.

Bodyguard, by Chris Bradford. This series is about teenager Connor Reeves, who has become part of an organization called Guardian, which recruits and trains select teenagers to become undercover bodyguards for the new generation of teen stars. If you like action, you really need to read these. This is more 12-13 age range, because of the tough suspense, action and occasional kiss (I promise, it is just occasional. Like, once a book). Also, there are technically two versions of this series. One of them goes Recruit, Ransom, Survival, Fugitive. That is the first editon. It has cussing in it, plus Guardian, the organization, is called Buddyguard. (Author, what were you thinking?) It's also just a teensy bit racist in some parts. The other series, which goes Recruit, Hostage, Hijack, Ransom, Ambush, Survival, Target, Traitor, is much cleaner. In that series, each of the first-edition books has been split into two books. Fugitive doesn't have a second edition version, and Target and Traitor don't have first edition books.

Okay, that was really long. But I hope it's helpful!

I'm probably gonna be constantly adding new books to this list, but, as of right now, here are my top books:

Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling This is a classic. I think everyone should at least try to read the first book.

Ranger's Appentice by John Flangan I actually expected someone to mention this series, but I guess not. Whatever. It's a really good series, but it's relatively obscure. Geared towards boys, but I'm a girl and I liked it. Set in a medieval fantasy world.

The Girl who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill I reread this book at least once every 3-4 months. Fantasy once again.

Iron Hearted Violet by Kelly Barnhill Kelly Barnhill is a genius.

Guardians of Ga'hoole by Kathryn Lasky It is a long series, but it's worth taking the time to read. Set in a fantasy world ruled by owls in which humans died out long ago.

Wolves of the Beyond by Kathryn Lasky Set in the same world and same time as Guradians of Ga'hoole, but centers on the dire wolves of the Beyond. Faolan, the main character is a malcadh, born deformed and left to die. He is found and raised by a grizzly bear.

Wonder by R. J. Palacio A relatively modern classic. Most people, I think, have at least heard of it. Realistic fiction, I think.

Dog Diaries and Horse Diaries by Varying Authors It's best if I put them together. They're kind of like subspecies of each other.

Tuesdays at the Castle by Jessica Day George Such an awesome book! It's actually part of a series but the first book can kind of be read as a stand-alone.

Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke What. An. Awesome. Book! Actually, there's a sequel, but the first book is better.

A Single Stone by Meg NcKinlay A stand-alone book that you want a sequel to! A beautiful story, told in such perfect words.

Game Changer by Margaret Peterson Haddix I love this book so much! The main character is so endearing.

There's probably a whole lot more that I can't remember right now.

Whoa we have similar taste! I've already read 7/12 of these! And on that note, I'm seconding the recommendation for Dragon Rider. My mom is a teacher, and she reads it to her class every few years. Every time, every single student loves it. It is so so so good. It has fantasy, humor, dragons (of course), friendship, and an epic quest. READ IT!!!!!!!!!!

I forgot one book recommendation:

Monstrous, by MarcyKate Connolly. One of the top ten books/series I've ever read. Here's a summary of the book from its publishers website: ...This debut novel stands out as a compelling, original story that has the feel of a classic.

The city of Bryre suffers under the magic of an evil wizard. Because of his curse, girls sicken and disappear without a trace, and all live in fear. No one is allowed outside after dark. Night is when Kymera comes to the city, with a cloak disguising her wings, the bolts in her neck, and her spiky tail. Her mission is to rescue the girls of Bryre. Despite Kym's caution in going secretively, a boy named Ren sees and befriends her . . . but what he knows will change her world forever.

It is so, so good. Put it at the top of your list and you will not regret it.

The Skylarks' War by Hilary McKay

That's all I can think of right now.

I know it's super popular already, but I would reccomend the hobbit by J.R.R tolkien. It is amazing at creating atmosphere and engrossing you in the world. Also it's just a fun read.

~Wings of Fire by Tui Sutherland
This is a popular series. Awesome story, good characters, pretty nice all around. There is a bit of violence in the series, but not too much to worry about.

~Survivors by Erin Hunter
I haven't read Warriors, but this is a great series! I love the characters and the story gripped me so much. It made me love packs and dogs in general. Very underrated. I suggest this one heartily!

~Bone by Jeff Smith
Okay, this one is more of a graphic novel. However, I love this series. I've read it about five times already! It looks strange, but it's so much more under the surface. The story is so powerful and gripping. More people should talk about this series. I love almost everything about it. I own all the books.

I know this is a short list, but just some recommendations :)
