Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Good Books for my 13th B-day!
What are some...

What are some good books you'd recommend for my 13th birthday? I LOVE fantasy. This is my list of books I want so far. If there's a book you've read, can you give me your opinion? Thanks!

Sign of the Dove~Susan Fletcher (I've read Dragon's Milk and Fligh of the Dragon Kyn)

Dragons in the Water
A House Like a Lotus
Arm of a Starfish~Madeleine L'Engle
(I've read the Time Quartet)

Guardians of Ga'Hoole~Kathryn Lasky (I've read 1-10)

Anne of Avonlea (I've read all of the Anne of Green Gables, but I couldn't find this one!)
Rilla of Ingleside
Rainbow Valley
Emily of New Moon
Emily Climbs
Emily's Quest~L.M. Montgomery

The Host~Stephany Myer

Okay! What else should I ask for? Any I shouldn't ask for? Hmmm. That seems like a lot, but considering all my family and friends, and that books are just about the only thing I'm asking for....

Assuming by "Stephany Myer" you mean "Stephenie Meyer", I wouldn't recommend getting The Host, but that's just me. If you're into Twilight you'll probably like it.

((Ha, Snape has a hook XD))

Hm, I'd recommend the Discworld series, but don't start with CoM (I'd start with Mort or something). Or Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, which is a huge book but really good.

Have you read The Austins books by Madeleine L'Engle? I haven't, but I intend to, since I loved the Time Quartet so much.

I'm not 13 yet – actually, I'm barely even 11 – so I don't really have much else, sorry. I just don't know...

I haven't, but I heard that they weren't nearly as good as the Time Quartet or the other Murry/O'Keef (is that how you spell it?) books...

Miss Emma (supposing you still read this ) I have read Anne of Avonlea, Ranbow Valley, Rilla of Ingleside, Emily of New Moon, and the rest of the Emily books, the first one was easily my favorite, the last one is , err intersting, I found it sort of hard to follow, but then again I was sick when I read it. I liked all the Anne of green gables series, I can't quite recall what happend in Anna Of Avonlea, but I know I liked it, Rilla Of Ingleside, was interesting, I could follow it, but I just diden't like it that much, Ranbow Valley is marvolous, Anne's childred are young and it it a great book!

You could try Inkheart by Cornelia Funke,Laura Ingalls Wilder little house series by Laura Ingalls Wilder,The cronicles of narnia by CS Lewis, The Hobbit by JR Tolken (mabie Lord of the rings as well, might be to advanced) Ella Enchanted by Gail Levine Fariest by the same author, Just  Ella by Margret petersen Haddix,The Wizard of OZ series by L.Frank Baum, the Shado children series by Haddix, the two princess of barrimere by Levine, I may think of more, I'll write back
