Hii! Yay, my first BaB thread. Anyways, graphic novels! Yay! (I said that already didn't I xD)
I kind of feel like I've read all of the good graphic novels because it's a new-ish genre and there just aren't that many...do you guys have any suggestions?
Some of my favorites are...
The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang
Be Prepared by Vera Brosgul
Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier (and basically all of Raina Telgemeier's books)
The Nameless City by Faith Erin Hicks
The Breakaways by Cathy C. Johnson
My CAPTCHA said emem but the computer autocorrected to ramen... xD

Yes! Have you read Queen of the Sea by Dylan Meconis? That one is really good.
If you enjoy Greek myths, I suggest The Oddyssey by Gareth Hinds. It's really well done, and so is The Iliad, but The Iliad is extremely bloody, so keep that in mind.
And The Lumberjanes series, but those are very short and they're more like comics.

Queen of the Sea, Queen of the Sea...uh...oh yeah I did read that! I forgot about it! It was good. I hope there's gonna be a sequel...

Have you read the graphic novel series Amulet? It's really good, I would totally recommend it. Also Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy, the modern adaptation of Little Women, and Roller Girl are both ones that I would recommend.

I love Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy! I went on a long about Little Women on the old Book of the Month thread, so I won't write it again here. Lupine, I also love Be Prepared and Ghosts. All of Raina Telgemier's books are great, I've read Smile more times than I can count! Some other good ones are Real Friends and Best Friends, and also Lumberjanes.

Yes I have read all of those and they are all amazing. xD Have you read All's Faire in Middle School which is by the same author as Roller Girl?
(August 21, 2020 - 12:58 pm)
Ooh, I've read All's Faire in Middle School! I actually want to write a graphic novel at some point, maybe when I start doing digital art.

Same! I'm want to submit a graphic novel to a novel contest, but I didn't want to do it the traditional way because I would never be patient enough.

I'm not really a graphic novel person, and the only one I can remember really liking (loving, to be perfectly accurate) is The Prince and the Dressmaker, which you mentioned. It's so good!
I also read Maus by Art Spiegelman, which might have been good if I hadn't had to read it in class and take notes on, like, how the shading conveyed emotion...

Graphic novels are awesome! I love The Nameless City, Lumberjanes, and Amulet (although the most recent one was a little disappointing). Has anyone read The Witch Boy series by Molly Ostertag? If not you totally should. I'm also reading the Kingdom Hearts and LoZ Twilight Princess mangas, and they're really good. Funny how both of them are based on video games...

Oh yeah, the Witch Boy is amazing! (I told you I've read all of the graphic novels xD). I think there's 3 in that series by now, I hope there's gonna be a fourth one soon.

AHHH, YOU LIKE RAINE TELGEMEIER TOO?!?!
I LOVE Guts, Sisters, and Smile!!

I also like graphic novals. Especially the Prince and the Dressmaker. Also by the same author is In Real Life, which is also really good. If you like Mytholagy there is the book Gods and Thunder about Norse Myths.
