Thank you Whitelion!!!! Ooops! Sorry! I was going to be Featherkit, but then I changed it to Faithkit, so it said in the post that my name was Faithkit, but it said submitted by Featherkit... So, my name is Faithkit. I do know a lot of herbs, but not all of them. (I don't have the guide book, but I've been reading Warriors since, like, 2nd grade, so... almost 6 years, so I remember most of the info.) I know that marigold is used to stop infections, cobwebs stop bleeding, horsetail helps heal rat bites I think, catmint stops green and whitecough, but is very rare, borrage helps produce milk, and tansy or parsley or something like that stops it. I know yarrow oes something, but I can't remember what... Death berries are pionsonus, obviosly, and feverfew, umm, it, hmm. I can't remember what that does... That's what I know. I can't wait to get started!

Faithkit your name will be Faithpaw. Your mentor will be Whitelion. Whitelion pass on your great knowledge of herbs to your apprentice. Faithpaw, learn well the herbs so one one day you can save the clan.

What exactly is this?  I see a lot of this kind of "clan" thread, but I don't know what it is and it looks really fun, so once it is explained to me I would like to join.  What I've picked up so far is that there are a bunch of different clans and you guys are cats or kittens and you make a story kind of thing that goes from there, like a game.  Am I right?

Have you read the Warrior Cats book by Erin Hunter? Well in it there are clans of cats that live in the forsest. We are creating our own clans. If you haven't read the books but still want to play, I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

You start clan life as a kit and have a kit name so for example, I was Dreamkit.

The you beacome an apprentice either a warrior apprentice or a medicine cat apprentice. Then your name gats change to a apprentice name. They all end with 'paw'. Mine was Dreampaw. Then you get made a warrior you get your warrior name. Mine was Dreamfur.

You can have all kinds of endings like Dreampelt, Dreamclaw, Dreamheart, Dreamsong, Dreamflight, practicly anything you want.

You can join this clan! We can help you! Ask questions!

Let's begin training now! (If you want to wait, you can just look at this later, but I'm posting it now).

Actually, I don't have the guidebook either, but I recently found an extremely loooooong list of the Warriors herbs, and I'm pretty sure it's every herb in the guidebook! There's no time to go over them all now, but we can do a little at a time. Actually, since this clan is new and currently has no healing herbs, we can gather them as wetalk about them. We'll have to go out into the forest, so come on.

Let's start with going over the herbs you already know. You were mostly right, but there's a little more to be learned. For example: You were right about marigold.  If you chew its leaves and/or petals and place them on the wound, it can stop infection.  However, did you know that its leaves and blossoms (unchewed and whole) are also used to lessen chills? Most cats don't *picks some marigolds*.

You were also correct about cobwebs *picks some, apologizing to the spider (which isn't necasery, but  I always feel bad about destroying their home)*, but as Robinpaw said,  it's burdock roots (not horsetail) that heals rat bites. Horsetail stops infections (you'd think that would still help a rat biite, but burdock rootscan also  heal infections, so you would only need horsetail if you were either A: Out of burdock, or B: Sure that the bite was already infected and needed something extra). By the way, you can also use burdock roots if an elder gets arthritis *picks some burdock plants and horsetail*.

You were right about catmint. It's also used to stop bleeding, but because of it's rarity, you should always try to find an alternative first. You don't want to use catmint on a bleeding wound when there's a cobweb right next to you *looks forcatmint* *finds some* *picks it*.

Borage leaves and seeds do increase the flow of a queen's milk. The leaves and roots can also stave off fevers. I'd pick some, but if you keep herbs in a den for a long period of time, they dry up, and borage doesn't work when it's dried, so when we need some, we'll have to pick it ourselves.

Parsley stops the flow of milk *grabs some*.
