Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Favorite (or least favorite) HP book and character(s)
I just read...

I just read all of the Harry Potter books and they were really, really good!! My favorite book was probably umm, Goblet of Fire. And my least favorite was hmm... Order of the Phoenix. Favorite characters- DOBBY!!! AND KREATURE!!!!! I LOVE them!! Although Winky is kind of forgotten. You never know what happens to poor Winky. Anyway, I love house elves!! Also, I liked Draco and Snape. Draco was so pitiful in The Half-Blood Prince, I just had to feel sorry for him. And Snape, well who couldn't like him? Fred and George are awesome, too. So was Dolores Umbridge. I was looking through a book of real estate agents (I was seriously bored) and found a person that looked EXACTLY like I pictured Dolores! Frizzy curly hair, a fishy smile, and an over all smug expression. I drew a black bow in her hair just to complete the picture. :):):)

I could be redundant and yell, I love Voldy-and-Bellatrix-and-Snape. But since basically everyone knows that already, how about something new?

Recently I have become very fond of Albus Severus Potter (Mary, I blame you for this *evil eye*), of rose-colored epilogue fame.
Umbridge, in my opinion, was the best-written villain of the series (though, as I've said... er... many times, Voldy forever <3). Canon Voldy was kind of, um, flat (which is what fanfiction is for! Yay fanfiction!) and unrealistic. He would have been oh-so-much better if BellaxVoldy had been canon. Umbridge, on the other hand, was quite believable. I mean, she's a horrible, nasty witch (both literally and figuratively), but on the other hand she appears to be, um, "so sweet I could vomit" if you aren't on her bad side, and she's got that thing for cats... and pink... and... well... sweet things... I mean, she has a *personality*. An awful one, sure, but a personality nonetheless.
Whereas canon Voldy was like this power-zombie. Like I said, a canon VoldyxBella would have helped to three-dimensionalize him. Though I do like his backstory, personally. His backstory is fun to play with.
Fred 'n' George were awesome comic relief, of course. But, WAH! Fred! *a moment of silence*
...
I was also rather fond of Peeves. He was funny, it's a *cough* downright shame *cough* that they cut him out of the movies.
And Quidditch! For a Wacky Wayside Tribe it's awesome! I love it! especially the music for the matches in the films, oh goodness yes... h'm

I misread your post, and thought it said "rose colored villian". Simply must find a story for that phrase.

Favorite book: Prisoner of Azkaban, I think.

Favorite character: Fred 'n' George, Dumbledore (but he's a little overly calm and quiet sometimes, and it gets annoying) Lupin (<3), and McGonagall. And I like Snape and Bellatrix (and to some extent Draco), but only in the movies.

Least favorite book: Chamber of Secrets. Ugh.

Least favorite character: Harry. And Umbridge, and I'm not a huge fan of Slughorn, and I don't like Draco or Bellatrix in the books at all.

Bwahaha... *evil laugh* I accept all blame for your liking Albus. XD

Let's see... my favourite books were probably five, six, and seven, because by then JKR had learned how to be funny. Favourite character... um, probably Draco. Or Snape, who was even better as a child/young adult, or the twins, or Bellatrix (we're even, because that's TNO's (umlaut) fault)... Also I liked Lockhart. *hides* Well, he was sort of comical...

Least favourite character would probably be... Ginny. She was just so flat. (she'll be fun insane though...) And while Harry was definitely flat, that would've been a lot more annoying if it was third person POV, so be thankful for small mercies.

My favorite girl student character is Luna Lovegood.

Fav boy student: Hmmmmm, I kinda like Neville and Ron, but the Weasley twins are pretty awesome too.

Fav girl adult: Tonks. She's just awesome.

Fav boy adult: Remus Lupin.

Fav Professor in year 1: Hmmmm I don't really know. Maybe Flitwick or Madame Hooch?

Fav Professor in year 2: Lochart. He's goofy. But I like him more when his memory is messed up and he's in Saint Mungo's and he tells the trio: "I can do Joined-up writing now you know." Or something like that anyway.

Fav Professor from year 3: Remus Lupin.

Fav Professor from year 4: Hmmm I don't know.

Fav Professor from year 5:  Ummmmm, Well from the books Minerva.

Fav Professor from year 6: No one really.

Fav Profesor from year 7: No one really.

I'm not saying that Harry is my favorite charater but how can he be one of you least favorite charaters. I mean his the main charater. Without him there would be no story.

Favourite character: Do hippogriffs count? If so, it's a tie between Buckbeak/Witherwings and Hermione. If not, just Hermione. I love all the characters, though! Except my least favourite character, who you'll meet in a second.

Least favourite character: Ron. I don't know why, but he seemed very annoying and boring to me.  No offense to his fans, of course.

Favourite book: Um... Maybe PoA...

Least favourite book: I love them all, and have no least favourite.

H'm... I'm not sure! There are a lot of good characters. I liked Lupin though.

Huh. I guess my favorite characters would have to be Luna, Peeves, the slightly more frantic Dumbledore, the twins, and (you guys have rubbed off on me all ready) Bellatrix/Voldy. The movie really should've included Peeves, and Bill Weasly, though. DARN WARNER BROS.!

Least favoite characters- Fudge: just so boring, Moody: Sure, he's all right, but I like Crouch/Moody better than the original Mad-Eyed thing. I think Harry gets better in the last few, but still rather dull.

favorite book- The last few, probabaly. if I had to pick one, it would be HBP

Least favorite book- COS, I think. Although Lockhart is rather funny. Make room for me, Mary W. :o) (( I think I'm going to call this smiley Bozo))

I like Harry Potter now! (even though I said I didn't on an old thread. I read the five books I hadn't read yet and liked them I lot better than I thought I would.) Anyway, my favorite books would have to be The Goblet of Fire and The Half-Blood Prince. I've only seen the first three movies, and my favorite so far is The Chamber of Secrets. My favorite characters are Snape (of course!), Ron, Fred, George, and Hermione. I don't particularly like Draco or Bellatrix, although Draco is quite pitiful in the latter books. And Voldemort's a good villain. :)

@ Maddy: Draco is awesome, especially as a pathetic and tragic character in the later books... Bellatrix, on the other hand, is, how shall I say this, an acquired taste. ;)

@ Mathilda: Yeah, Peeves should've been in the movies. :P And about Moody-Crouch: Yes. I love the younger Barty Crouch... especially in the movies, where he keeps doing that serpentine lip-licking thing... which sounds weird, but... great actor.

@ Mary, Yeah, I love him. His name escapes me (and it probabaly will for the rest of eternity :P) but he's a great actor. I also love Emma Watson. Hermione's not my favorite, but in the movies she's all right.

But especially in the later movies, Tom Felton is far and away the best. Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter follow. Daniel Radcliffe should get green contacts, though...

Emma Watson is indeed perfect for the role. :)

*nods* Yes, they can blow up bridges, but they can't get green contacts???? And yes, Tom Felton is indeed great in the later movies. Even though I don't really like Ron, Rupert Grant was an excellent choice for him. HBC and Alan rickman are great, too. :)
