GEE, JEANNE BIRDSALL, you, really had to throw that at us?
Anyone who’s read the Penderwicks in Spring should understand, I feel like she threw so much in so little pages.

-How much everyone aged
-Lydia Penderwick
- Rosalind, is NEVER around anymore, also she and Tommy broke up?
- Aunt Claire married Turron, and had twins?

wOAh. I read the first two and a half books before abandoning the series but that sounds like absolute literary whiplash XD

I totallllly get what you mean! I absolutely adored the first books of the Penderwicks, so I was naturally thrilled to read the last book. I think Jeanne Birdsall made the sisters grow up too fast. The last two books had very little of the characters I loved (mainly Skye and Rosalind), which totally took away most of the appeal of the book. And I definitely think she should have touched on more of what happened in between; it was frankly disappointing. Does anyone have any good book reccomendations like The Penderwicks?
