So, I read
Chatterbox: Blab About Books
The Hate U Give
So, I read...
So, I read this book and I loved it SO MUCH! I laughed and I cried, and it was altogether a moving and awakening expirience for me. I know they made it into a movie recently, and I'm making plans to go see it. I know somebody made a thread about the A Wrinkle in Time movie, so I was wondering if I could do the same thing with The Hate U Give. So. Has anyone seen the movie? If so, was it good? Did it do the book justice? What was your opinion?

I have neither seen the book nor read the movie--wait, I mean I've neither read the book, nor seen the movie. XD Anyway. I've heard of it. I think I have it on my list of books I want to get. What's it about?

I saw the movie! It was amazing, I cried so hard. I actually saw it before I read the book, which I am midway through now. The movie was really good and I loved it, though it started off kind of slowly. I think, overall, that it was an effective adaptation, though some good parts had to be cut (which is an expected casualty of book-based movies).
