One of my favorites is the His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman. Really well written, intriguing and dark Sci-Fi/Fantasy adventure.

My Dairy from the Edge of the World by Jodi Lynn Anderson, The Unwantends series by Lisa McMann, Class Dismissed by Alan Woodrow, Every Soul a Star by Wendy Mass, are very good if you like fantasy/realistic fiction.

The Wings Of Fire series is really good! Also, this isn't a series, but it's a really great book, The Phantom Tollbooth! ALSO: NightwingDarkwing, which is sort of.... kind of part of a trilogy I guess...?

And (Of course) the Harry Potter series. It's good.

Oh.

And, if you like Terry Pratchett, dark humor, slight, no, I lie, a lot of cynicism, and YES, IF YOU HAVE READ ANYTHING TERRY PRATCHETT......... *Drumroll please)

You might like the TIFFANY ACHING SERIES! THE FIRST BOOK IS WEE FREE MEN! AND, I WOULD ASSUME, THE OTHER BOOKS ARE USUALLY LISTED AT THE BACK OF THE BOOK! LIKE SOME OF THE BEST SERIES, THEY ACTUALLY ARE LOOSELY TIED TOGETHER BUT IN THEORY YOU CAN READ THEM IN ANY ORDER! I DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW WHY I'M WRITING THIS IN CAPS, OERHAPS BECAUSE I AM A FAN OF THE SERIES AND MOST THINGS PRATCHETT??

I'll stop yelling in your ear, now, Chipmunk!

ALSO: THE GIRL WHO SAILED ACROSS FAIRYLAND IN A SHIP/BOAT OF HER OWN MAKING.

That' the name of the first book. It's really elegantly written in a style that is rare and even more rarely executed well, BUT THIS IS ONE OF THOSE BOOKS THAT DOES IT RIGHT! If you don't like it, that's fine! Just a suggestion.
