I've read it too. It's really good! I want to read the rest of the series sometime. And by Elizabeth, do you mean Beth G?

no, I mean E.W.
I soooooooooooo want to read the rest of the series! They are so awesome!!!!!

So, Ima, you like Chidren of the Lamp but not Eragon I like Children of the lamp too but Eragon's better
(July 20, 2009 - 1:49 pm)
((Actually, Buks, Ima likes Eragon. Reuben, TNO (umlaut), myself and a few others do not... but let's please not bring that onto this thread, yes?))
Hmm, I read this book a long tme ago, I don't remember every aspect of it, and if memory serves I didn't read the other two (were there more?) books... but what I do recall of it, it was quite good. A bit slow at times, but slightly amusing and very well written. I thought I was the only one who'd ever heard of them; I'm glad to see otherwise.

((Yeah, TNÖ, MaryW, and I are BaB's resident "attack-popular-books" people. I scare off new people on a regular basis, accidentally.))
Guess what? I'm not gonna insult this book. In fact, I enjoyed it! Iblis is great.
SPOILERS FOR REST OF SERIES!
Why did he have to be destroyed so brutally???
(July 20, 2009 - 6:27 pm)
((Ah, but that gives the impression that we just attack them 'cause they're popular. I dun know about you but I only attack books I don't like.))
(July 21, 2009 - 3:25 pm)
((and as regularly as you scare off the newbies, I scold you and so do some others, hmm? but that time that you gave that girl who said she loved Twilight and Eddie the sparkly pants a like to the anti thread............GRR! I'm still a bit mad about that. Although, I don't like the books either. I met a boy recently who is a T-fan, and thinks that it's about POETRY, of all things. My response: "I thought it was about Eddie of the Sparkly Pants!" to which he said, "Well, you haven't been in love." AAARGH! LIke he HAS, or something!? He's only 12 like I am, for goodness sake! (see's that boy about every other week or so at the music store where I take clarinet lessons.........)))

Sorry that my friend BuksRul and I were kinda mean to you earlier, you know, in the Eragon recomendation. But have you read book five??? I think that every book is even better than the last.
(July 23, 2009 - 7:39 pm)
Well there are 5 books out now.
The Akhenaten Adventure
The Blue Djinn of Babylon
The Cobra King of Kathmandu
The day of the Djinn Warriors
The Eye of the Forest
(July 21, 2009 - 7:23 am)
I thought it was VERY amusing
(July 21, 2009 - 7:25 am)
Mary W., there are now five books. I have them all. And thank you for telling my best friend not to bring that up. I'm so mad about it!

I haven't read the rest of the series yet... oh well. I actually do slightly prefer Eragon to Children Of the Lamp... but please, let's not talk about it here .*changes subject* I didn't know E.W.'s first name was Elizabeth... Does anyone know what the next Cildren Of The Lamp book is called? I saw the 3rd one at a bookstore, but I'm not sure whether it's the kind of thing you'd have to read in order.
(July 21, 2009 - 8:35 am)
I just noticed something.
The Akhenaten Adventure
The Blue Djinn of Babylon
The Cobra King of Kathmandu
The Day of the Djinn Warriors
The Eye of the Forest
It's alphabetical! And I prefer COTL to Eragon.

*grins* I'm so honoured to be regarded as one of BaB's resident book attackers. ;) Thanks, Reuben. ;)
I can name dozens of books that I prefer to the Inheritance Circle, myself.
About the alphabetical order titles- I did not notice that... how interesting.
