"The stream of molten gold flowed smoothly from the crucible, reflecting in its surface the cloudless blue of the Egyptain sky." - The Golden Goblet - Eloise Jarvis McGraw
I don't know what a 'crucible' is, but it's a good first sentence.
A crucible is the container that holds liquid molten metal. It's a great word-- and this is a great first sentence!
