Chatterbox: Blab About Books

BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS PLEASE
I am need...

I am need of book recs. Any and all will be appreciated, but I enjoy mostly fantasy, a lot of mysteries, and some realistic fic, historical fic, and sci fi. If you could include a short synopsis of the book that would be great, but no worries if you don't have time. Thanks!

Sparrow by Sarah Moon

It's about a girl who has always felt isolated from the other kids. She was found on the edge of a rooftop. Everyone thought she was trying to commit suicide, but she really wasn't. (It's ok, Admins, it's not graphic or anything.) She goes to therapy, and learns how to avoid "flying", something she's been doind for as long as she can remember. It's hard to explain it very well without giving spoilers.

Wow. Just realized that got really long.

Forgot to mention that it's realistic fiction. Sometimes it feels like fantasy though.

The Scarlet Stockings, Harry Potter, Keeper of the Lost Cities, The Land of Stories, Jacky Ha-ha (there are two in the series), The Willow Falls series, Tuesday at the Castle and the rest of the series, (Wednesday in the tower, Thursday with the Crown, Friday with the Wizards, and Saturday at Sea. Yes, it starts from Tuesday, and I'm really hoping she'll make more!!), and probably more but I can't remember, I read so much! Read these - they're awesome!

All of these books are appropriate and great!

The Warriors series by Erin Hunter!! They're really awesome books about four clans of constantly warring cats and a "kittypet" (the Warriors name for house cats) named Rusty who appears in the middle of the wars between the clans. I've read a lot of them and I can't stop!! There are multiple mini-series though, so I would Google what order they go in if I were you. (I would post a list but it would be really long and I don't have the time right now.)

It depends on what reading level you are at, but The Land Of Stories series is AMAZING! I read them all with my mom, and my two BFFs are reading them now. They are about these two twins, Conner and Alex, (Alex is a girl) and they find a book their Grandmother gives them. There is a Portal to the fairytale world, and Conner and Alex have a lot of adventures. I can’t really describe all of the books, and I don’t want to give anything away. If you read it, i hope you like it. And yeah, I agree with you. Fantasy Rules!

The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebeard, Rumo, and The City of Dreaming Books by Walter Moers, ummm... OOH Out of the Silent Planet, Perelandra, and That Hideous Strength by C.S. Lewis, and a couple others that I'll probably think of later. :)

The War That Saved My Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley! It's historical fiction, I think, set in World War II, about a girl named Ada who has a deformed foot. Her mother keeps her locked in an apartment because she's ashamed of her daughter's foot, but Ada escapes with her brother when kids are being shipped out of England because of the bombs. I think there's a sequel too, but I haven't read it yet.
