Has anybody else read Winterling? I just finished it a few days ago, and I have to say, it was one of the better books I've read. I loved it! It was really good. I really want to read Summerkin and Moonkind now, but please no spoilers!

I absolutely loved these! They're the sort of books that I wish I'd written myself, because they use all (well, probably not all, but a lot of) the mythological/folklore/faerieish elements that I love reading and writing, and they're so good, and if I ever try to write anything like them I'd be afraid of unconsciously stealing from them! I won't say much because I can never remember what things happen in which books when I read series, but Fer is awesome and Rook is cool and all I can remember right now is the bees and Fer's coat (I have wanted to make a patchwork jacket ever since)...

I know! And I totally get what you mean, about accidentally stealing from the books and all. Fer is most definitely awesome, and I loved Rook!

I finished the book the evening of February 9th, so I basically read the whole thing in 1 day. It was AWESOME. I LOVE ROOK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aaaaahhhh I know right!? I'm pretty sure I finished it in one day, too. XD It was too good to put down! ROOK IS THE BEST. I'm not sure why, but I love him. XD

It's by Sarah Prineas, and it's about a girl named Fer (short for Jennifer I think), who discovers a portal into another, magical land, ruled by a huntress named the Mor. There's super cool magic, mythology, folk, and fairytale elements (mainly Irish and English in origin, I think), and I don't remember enough to say anything non-spoilery, but it's awesome. There are two other books in the series, with the same main characters and awesome magic world, but different plot stuff. Hope this helps!

I love Winterling!! The story plot was interesting and it was simple but good. Definitely recommend it (and the whole trilogy).

Yes, the plot was really good. Summerkin and Moonkind are waiting for me at the library... I can't wait to read them!!!

I haven't read it, and it's not on my digital epub platform (Libby), so I gotta wait til I get home to request it. But it sounds intresting!
I'm still kinda in denial/a reading rut right now though. I just finished 4-5 AMAZING books back to back, and I still have one more to read. But one of them (The Death Cure) hit me HARD, and I'm still trying to recover. We'll see if I actually get to this book or my other xD
