Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Hey everyone! I just read Full Cicada Moon, by Marilyn Hilton, and I absolutely loved it! I finished it the ay I got it, and I couldn't put it down! It's about a girl named Mimi who is Japanese/African American and dreams of being an astronaut. It's set in 1969, when the first men landed on the moon, and also when girls were expected to do (and not do) certain things, and  black people were considered less important than whites. The book is inspiring and amazing and I would recommend it to everyone, no matter how young or old.
