Book recomendations wante...

Book recomendations wanted!

I'm writing a novel set in the Japanese internment camps during WWII, and I would like recommendations of other books set in that era that take place in the US. They don't necessarily have to feature the internment camps, though that would be great; I also just want to get a sense of the culture at that time.

Thanks!!

There's a book called Echo, by Pam Munoz Ryan, author of Rizing Esperanza. It focuses mainly on different cultures during the war though, but there's a little bit of info on the camps.

Oh, I really love that book! Echo is one of my favorites. I second that recommendation.

Try Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand.  It's supposed to be a really good book!

I might have already recommended this on a different thread, but Sylvia and Aki is really good (although it might not be your age group) it's about Japanese internment camps.
