Hey guys I'm
Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Hey guys I'm starting a book! But I won't tell you the plot I'll just post it. Here is chapter one:
Flame always wanted to have things his way. He wanted palaces and a place where he could actually live comfortably. If only his dad’s business would work out. But even hands hot enough to melt metal could not help a blacksmith when the weapons supply called for something better than a poor man’s sword.
Once he knew Coal Spark had been famous. He could create a weapon faster than someone from the Lightning realm. But this was the Flame realm, full of hot headed and strict people. And when Sparkle that “wonderful” princess started curling her golden blond hair and talking to her parents with a voice like honey she was soon basically in control of the throne and then she wanted weapons for her soldiers which were encrusted with rubies and poor old Coal was not in demand anymore.
It was was unfair that's what it was. Even from here he could see the gold laced curtains on the royal castle which made him cringe thinking of how unfair his life was. At least he couldn't see Princess Sparkle herself, dressing in pretty dresses and smirking like she ruled the realm.
Which of course,she did.
“Flame!” Called his dad “You have a visitor!”
“I'm not a kid anymore” Flame muttered. He used to believe that his “visitors” were really what they said. But now he knew. They were just people from the street, waiting to get their daggers fixed.
So he stayed in his room. It wasn't like he would need to continue the family business anyways. And when his hands started to smoke he didn't care. The black fumes rose up and engulfed him but he didn't care.
He briefly remembered his dad calling his name before he passed out.
When he woke back up everything was different. The grass was green and fresh. The sky shone bright blue. It still looked like his world but something was different.
Then he looked around and he realized what.
People were happy.
There was no castles in the background, no watching princess.
He understood now.
This was where his people were meant to be.
Someone was coming towards him.
He opened his mouth to talk.
“FLAME WILLIAMS SPARK!”
It was all gone now. Nothing but his house.
But where was his house? All he saw were a few smoking boards.
“Oh no”
His dad looked at him with cold unforgiving eyes. Flame had once found comfort in them, they were so similar to his, shining green with cool gray flecks. But now it was only a reminder of what he was.
He had burned down his house.
That was something Flame could never forgive himself for doing.
“I'm sorry dad”
Coal Spark looked at him again.
“I will never be your father” he said, with every word cruelly forced out.”The queen is dying. We can't continue like this”
Flame knew he was right.
But Flame had hope.
“I will be back.” He said.
But as he neared the gold gates that showed the Fire realm’s crest with its roaring tiger and shining ruby flames he wondered if his words were true.
If his vision was right they might not be.
