Lol, it was our school's sixth grade summer reading book, actually! Personally, I didn't find it particularly memorable (I wouldn't consider it a favorite), but it was quite good. I liked the sections with Ole, Alric, and Raudi, and the "flashback" bits. I felt that Solveig, Asa, Per, and Harald were all teetering on the edge of "stereotype", though.
