Chatterbox: Blab About Books

There is a MAJOR plethora of Warriors threads and it's really getting out of hand
Administrators, this is...

Administrators, this is getting really wild. There are seven to nine Warriors threads on BaB every day. Half of the remaining threads are anti-Warriors threads that are eventually trolled by anonymous posters. I don't know about everyone else, but I come on BaB for intelligent discussion about a variation of books. And as a person who has never read a page of Warriors- and I know there are others as well- I am personally getting vaguely irked by it. I understand that there will be some threads that I may not want to post on, but if there are seven to nine threads, ALL about Warriors, that's just a little out of hand. We've tried creating new threads to counteract the worrisome Warriors, but they just get pushed to the second of third pages. Even our non-Warriors threads, specifically labeled, "No Warriors" are eventually trolled by fans who accuse us without reason or justification of being "bumbling furballs." Bumbling furballs! Honestly! And then even those are pushed to the back. In conclusion, it's just getting a little out of control.

I realize that some Warriors roleplays might need excessive space, and I respect the opinions and likes of the Warriors posters, but can you not extend that same courtesy to the rest of us and keep your threads and trolling to a minimum? Please?

Is there a possibility, Administrators, that we could keep all threads relating to Warriors- or any of the same books, HP and Twilight included- to a total of no more than four at a time? And regarding trolling and unjustified name-calling- it's just rude and gets us nowhere, and can be categorized as Internet harrassment. So could we please cut down on that too, before we Anti-Warriors are forced to troll your threads in an attempt to keep you from trolling ours?

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE?

Mary, one of the values of the Internet is infinite space. We do not limit the number of threads about any topic. We suggest you just read the threads you enjoy and skip the others. Admin does not control what appears on what page. We only reserve the right to not post anything on a topic or any language not suitable for our youngest readers or anything that sounds rude or unkind. Or anything that is way too long.

I acknowledge that, and you're naturally right, but don't you think that it's harder to post on threads that you want to post on if you have to scroll back one/two/three pages? And that it is a bit "rude," as you put it, to call people "bumbling furballs" without justification, and that it's just plain discourteous and annoying to soecifically post Warriors comments on threads that a) have no relation to Warriors, or b) are specifically labeled "No Warriors"? I hate to act like this, but it's getting out of hand.

Is this just me or do others agree?

It wasn't me. *looks around suspiciously* It was an anonymous troller.

It's probably because the assumption is that since the Warriors do it to the other threads, they won't mind other people doing it to them. Does that make sense?

I think our trollers neither like nor dislike Warriors; they merely want to stir up trouble. However, I discourage all us Anti-Warrior-Thread people to go troll the Warriors threads, because 1) it's not nice, even if the Warriors do it to us and 2) I doubt the people who trolled our non-Warriors threads were actually Warrior roleplayers.
