5 Kind of. When Eragon needed a name for her, he asked Brom for a list of dragon names. Eragon told them to his dragon, and she chose Saphira. Later, they find that Saphira had been the name of Brom's dragon

I haven't read it in so long, so... here goes nothing!

5. in a way. Eragon needed a name for Saphira, so he asked Brom about the dragon names that he knew of. Eragon told them to her, and she chose Saphira, of course, the only one that suited her, for it was one of the only girl names. Later, they (Eragon and Saphira) find out that Saphira had been the name of Brom's dragon, before she died, the reason why he whispered it.
