Drumroll please...

Data-data-data-data-data...

*clears throat* Uh...

Just get it over with.

Don't rush me!

*rolls eyes* Well you did plan to do this as soon as you got home.

*sighs* Okay, I'll start.

~~~
The Feline sat under a lone tree, tears streaming down his face. He had lost everything. Christine is wrong. he thought. I am alone. No cat loves me.
Day turned into night, but The Feline didn't seem to notice. A cold wind nipped at his toes. Even the sewers were better than having no home at all. The Feline muttered in his head. But his home wasn't the only thing that was gone. His identity was missing as well. Now The Feline was nothing, a nobody. Now who am I? he wondered. The world knows me as The Feline of the Opera, but Celeste knows me as Pierre.
The Felind looked up at the sky. Celeste... That traitor. The Feline's insides churned in anger. She betrayed me! She knew how I was afraid of dogs, but now she guards her house with them. The Feline placed his head back into his knees again. No cat loves me...
Suddenly, a young voice sounded in his ears. "Are you okay?" it asked gingerly. The Feline turned his head to look at the speaker. It was a orange tabby tom, no more than ten. The same age my life changed... The Feline thought
"Go away," The Feline hissed, turning his head. "I want nothing to to with you." But instead of leaving, the tom scooted closer. "Who are you?" he asked.
The Feline sighed. Ignorant young fool. "I am The Feline of the Opera." The tom gasped. "Y-you?" he stammered. "Yes. Now if you please, go away." The tom was speechless. The Feline took a quick peek at him. His fur was matted and dirty, and his green eyes were dull. "You wouldn't happen to be an orphan, wouldn't you?" The Feline inquired. The tom hesitated, then replied. "Y-yes..."
The Feline felt a little sorry for the young tom. "How long have you been an orphan?" he asked. "I dunno... I guess I've been one for my whole life." I guess I was a little lucky. The Feline thought. "I was an orphan since I was six." he muttered. "I heard that you had a... a... unique face. Why's that?" The tom questioned.
The Feline sighed. "Why don't I start from the beginning, so you don't ask stupid questions?" he snapped. He saw the tom flinch. "I didn't always have a hideous face. Long ago, when I was about six or so, my father became very ill. A few days later he was dead, and I found myself in an orphanage. The cats there were cruel, and the food was terrible. Actually, much worse than terrible. Anyways, when I was ten, I ran away. I soon found myself here, not far from this tree."
The tom looked mildly surprised. The Feline raised his head, and then the tom cringed. "Yes, I know my face is gruesome, but you want to know the story behind it, don't you?" The tom nodded hastily. "Good. Now where was I... Ah, yes. So I was looking for some sign of civilization when I heard baying in the distance. Soon enough, a pack of hounds were attacking me, and one ripped out my eye."
The look on the tom's face made The Feline feel sorry for himself. "Yes, but then I heard the voice of their master, and they were gone. I then crawled to this very tree and laid down to recover."
Here's more!
~~~

The tom patted the soil beneath the tree. "Wow," he murmured. "This tree has history with you." The Feline shushed him. "There's more," he muttered. "I lay down under this tree for what seemed like eternity, until out of my good eye, I saw a young queen. She looked at me in horror, and dashed off somewhere. Then she came back with bandages and a strange peice of cloth.

"The queen was about my age, and I was no older than you, and she had silky white fur and eyes the color of the night sky. She bandaged up my eye and used the cloth to keep it in place. She said her name was Celeste, and she helped me sit up." "How kind of her!" The tom purred happily. "True, but would a nice person put your greatest fear in front of their house?!?" The Feline snarled.

The tom hesitated for a moment. "N-no," he stuttered. The Feline continued with his story. "So Celeste and I became friends. We would explore the tall grasses and forests, and play games. Those days were wonderful, but they didn't last.

"We grew up together, and soon we fell in love. One day, she brought a book to me and taught me how to read." The tom looked confused. "If Celeste fell in love with you and helped you in your time of need, how come you hate her?" he wondered. The Feline looked down at his knees. "Truth is, I still love her." he murmured.

The tom stood up. "Then go see her again!" he ordered. "But she put dogs in front of her house!" The Feline wailed. "Did you not hear me say that?" The tom sat down again. "Oh. Right."

"How come you haven't told me you're name?" The tom asked suddenly. The Feline sighed. "Only Celeste knows my true name. The rest of the world knows me as The Feline of the Opera. Besides, it doesn't matter anyways." The tom snorted in disbelief. "Of course it matters! Here, I'll tell you my name." "I don't care about what you're called." The Feline grumbled. But the tom didn't seem to hear. "Everyone calls me Fox." he meowed.

There'll be more later.
