The Wildwood Series is an amazing series that is expecting its third book soon! Each book is over 500 pages, and they have some black and white and full color illustrations.
The basic plot of the first book is this: Prue is babysitting her baby brother Mac at the park when a group of crows lift him out of his wagon and into the air. Prue chases the birds through the streets on her bike. She pauses when the birds fly into the Impassable Wilderness, a dangerous uninhabited forest across the river. Prue and her friend Curtis embark on a wild adventure to retrieve Mac. They discover a whole new world as they journey through Wildwood to bring Mac safely home.
Will Prue and Curtis be able to save Mac before it's too late?
I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOVE these books! They are perfect for fantasy adventure lovers.

Does Prue and Curtis sorta have a crush on each other? If so, sounds like the perfect book series to me! Adventure? Check. Wilderness? Check. Long novel? Check. Teeny bit of romance? ???
