Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Heyo! I'm trying to remember the name of a book I read several years ago. It was about a bunch of teenagers who were from all different parts of the world (I think they were classmates in some kind of international school), and they were on some mountain in Europe learning to ski.
I only remember a few details of it now - there was a girl who turned out partway through the book to have a nasty mother; there was a girl who would march up to her teachers to ask them why her grades were low and then tell them, "Next time better, you'll see," and improve her work; there was a skiing accident (of course) with an avalanche, and the main character (narrator) had a dream where she was running through the snow, shouting (after the manner of another character), "Vivo!" and "Viva!" for the sakes of the kids who had been hurt in the avalanche. I know, this isn't much to go on. :D
Have you ever read anything like this book? Do you remember what it was called?

I actually do think I've read this. I think it's Bloomability by Sharon Creech, but I might be wrong. . .

I'm looking for a book too! It's about a girl whose parents died, and she wasn't supposed to let her older sister marry someone, but in the end of the book things changed so she married hime anyway. Something about Lilies or other flowers maybe? It took place a long time ago...on a farm...
