Hey guys! I was just daydreaming about HP (As I do on a regular basis) and the most amazing fanfic idea popped into my head.
What if Draco Malfoy gets Sorted into a different House?!
It would be the most interesting to see him in the same House as Harry, so I chose Gryffindor. Read what I have so far!!!
“Malfoy, Draco!”
Draco strode forwards to the little stool and sat down, plopping the Sorting Hat onto his head. It dropped down over his eyes, blocking his vision. He smiled in the dark.
I’ll be in Slytherin, he thought happily. Just like the rest of my family. I shouldn’t worry. Slytherin is where I belong.
“Are you sure?” said a small voice into his ear. “I think that maybe--”
I want to be in Slytherin. Draco thought firmly. Slytherin.
“No.” answered the Hat. “I see courage in you . . . I want to to go to GRYFFINDOR!”
The Sorting Hat yelled that last word to the entire hall. There was a gasp from both the Slytherin and Gryffindor table.
“A Malfoy . . . in Gryffindor?!” a group of third years whispered loudly.
“Draco Malfoy belongs to us!” cried a a Slytherin.
“He must be the first in generations . . .”
Shocked, Draco lifted the hat from his head. Gryffindor? GRYFFINDOR?!
His father was going to be so disappointed . . .

Oooh, idea, idea!
Maybe later on, Malfoy can go with Harry and Ron to try to save Hermione from the troll, and he does it single-handedly, and Hermione secretly has a crush on him for that!

Fun fact: Emma Watson actually had a crush on Tom Felton. And I think you should do a scene in Potions. It would be interesting to see how Snape reacts to the Griffendor Draco.
