Bad vs. Good Cliffhangers
Bad vs. Good...

Bad vs. Good Cliffhangers in my opinion

Bad cliffhangers: someone dies, someone goes to jail, someone does something they don't want to, etc.

Good cliffhangers: someone finds their long lost ______, someone gets rescued from jail, someone actually isn't dead, someone doesn't die, etc.

In each of these cliffhangers, something happens (as shown above) but there is still something to be resolved. THESE ARE JUST MY OPINIONS! What's a good cliffhanger or a bad cliffhanger to you?

Bad cliffhangers are at the end of books because I usually read from the library and 1 out of 2 times, we don't have the next book in the series that I'm reading reserved.

Good cliffhangers are right before something big happens because they make you want to read more and finish the book.

The Land of Stories has lots of good cliffhangers, they make you want to read the next book EVEN IF IT'S NOT EVEN OUT YET! Someone important might die, someone might get put in jail, or someone you thought was good turns out to be PURE EVIL! (like me!Innocent )

To me, bad cliffhangers make you feel like everything's all good and there's no need for another book. Like if someone is saved, busted out of jail, or someone PURE EVIL turns out to be good and fighting for the good guys the whole time. SOOOOOOOO BORING!

Good cliffhangers are suspenseful and make you want to see how everything is resolved and is 'tied up' in the end, (I need the next book or I will die!) and bad cliffhangers make you feel like everything's already resolved and that there's no need for another book.

So, basically, mine is the opposite of yours, Jack-a-Natalie.

I like cliffhangers that don't get resolved. LIke in a short story. There is no ending!!!! I love it. You have to think. I hate cliffhangers that are benificial to the protagininst.

the best cliff hanger for me has to be the end of the bridge to terabithea. I red it awile ago, and I codent stop crying! she was sooo young! but in the end, somone dies, somone dosent die, and somone starts ruling terabithia arter the young queen! I dont know if this is good of bad to you but the fact it got me crying, and I mean CRYING going up to mom and crying until I started reading another book, wich was as soon as I was done crying, was surprising.
