Chatterbox: Blab About Books
Please read this, I have an idea!
First of all, has anyone on here read the book called "Book Scavenger?" If you haven't you definitely should. It's about a girl named Emily who moves to San Francisco and meets a boy named James. Together they attempt to discover a game left behind by Emily's literary idol Garrison Griswold, who was mugged and fell into a coma in a subway station. It involves clues and ciphers, and it's a really great book.
Anyway, the reason I made this thread wasn't to convince you to read the book. Here's what I wanted to tell you. In the book, Emily plays a game called Book Scavenger. It's a game where people hide books in places across the country. They leave clues about where the book is hidden, and then other people check the website to find books hidden near them. Then they read the clue and try to find the books. I think it would be cool if lots of CBers read the book "Book Scavenger" and then hide books. It would be awesome if we found each other's books!

I'm guessing that you heard of this book because of the Battle of the Books list this year. If not... good for you! I found it because of Battle of the Books and I just started reading it. In only a chapter or two in so far, but the intro thingy tells you what a Book Scavenger is, and it seems really good so far!

both Savvy44x and Toppy44x have something to say.
Toppy says; Top!
Savvy says; (the reason I split this up in two comments was so that I could top it as well.) It would be SO awesome if we could find each other's books, although it may be had with some of us in PA (hi, Maple!), some of us in Alaska (Hi there, Katydid), and some of us in Texas (hello about 5 CBers!). I don't know. Sone of us may live in the same city, but a lot of us are alone in a state, and I don't think our parents will want to drive us around the continent searching for CBers books. That sounded really negative. Hmmm... Maybe we could hide books, but CBers specifically don't have to find them. Just random people. And we could leave notes in them telling the people who found them to read them, or read them and hide them again or whatever. Just a suggestion. Or we could stick with the original plan and just be really determined. Okay bye!!

This sounds like a great idea! Are you from PA? Because I am! Do you know what city Maple lives in? I haven't read Book Scavenger, but it sounds like a cool book!

I'm from PA! Maple and I are friends in real life, so we both live in Pittsburgh.

@Savvy- Actually, I found the book at a local book store when I was trying to find something to read. Also, I wasn't saying that we have to find each other's books, and I agree that we shouldn't hide them just for the purpose of CBers finding them, it would just be really cool if CBers that had read the book hid books, and if other CBers happened to find them.

@Andra- I live in MA. You should definitely read the book.

That book is great this is a great idea

What if we hid the books virtually? Then you could hide them ANYWHERE in the world!

What a cool idea! I know that there are several CBers living in my state (including you, Dragonrider!)
