Who has read...
Who has read The Hobbit? The author is J.R.R. Tolkien, but most of you probably already know that ;) when I was younger, my dad read it to me, and now I'm reading it again with my mom. A few parts are boring, but I reallly like it overall. I have a kindle version that has audio, and this is super cool: J.R.R. Tolkien reads a few parts of it! He reads a part of Riddles in the Dark, and once me and my brother went camping alone in our grandparents backyard, and for some reason, without thinking how creepy it would be, we listened to Riddles in the Dark. Ya. We decided to turn it off. XDXDXD ok I should probably stop blabbing on and on about my camping trip and start blabbing about books! In this case, The Hobbit.

I read it! It's a great book. I like it better then LOtR, more action.

A delightful, insightful, fantastic (old-fashioned sense) and enduring book. So. Good. I would not agree that it has more action than the Lord of the Rings-- it has a faster pace, if that's what you mean, but the Lord of the Rings actually contains more sword-clashing and jumping around and such. Everyone must read The Hobbit, and the Lord of the Rings, and the Silmarillion, and the Children of Hurin, and the Histories of Middle-Earth, and On Fairy-Stories, and Leaf by Niggle, and Farmer Giles of Ham, and the Father Christmas Letters, and... *continues for some time* ;D

I love these books. I recently started a thread on Tolkien, so please visit that and continue the conversation. But I agree, The Hobbit is definitely a faster-paced read.
