Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Harry Potter
Oh. My. Gosh....

Oh. My. Gosh. That's all I can say. I literally just finished the last book and I am completely and entirely satisfied with it. I was so scared that when I finished it wouldn't be enough...that I would want another book but guess what? It was the best ever and answered all my questions, and left me with a happy feeling that won't leave anytime soon. Thanks, J.K. Rowling. =))

P.S. Don't hate on Harry Potter in the comments, please. Thanks.

Wow.

Congratulations! Finishing a series is a great feeling, isn't it? Especially Harry Potter.

SPOILER ALERT

I cried the first two times I read the chapter where Harry is about to die. And even though I'm very emotional in real life, I never cry when I read. Except I did then.

END SPOILERS

You must be so satisfied.

All was well.

I finished Harry Potter a few weeks ago, and it was amazing. And sad. And amazing. The battle of Hogwarts was an emotional rollercoaster. It took me several years to finish the series, not because I'm a slow reader, just do to the fact that I was terrified of everything from the age of four to about a year ago, so we read the books slowly, finishing one book (aloud), then waiting a few months, then reading the next (aloud). If we had read say, the fourth book when I was younger, I would have been haunted by the graveyard scene for months. Who was the saddest death for you?

I haven't finished the series yet, because my dad has been reading it to us, and then Coco got freaked out when Wormtail cut off is hand, so we had to stop. For a year. And now we're probably going to start again.

*dances off, humming*

Awww Cayke that's so sweet and happy and sad at the same time....

The last book plays with my emotions allot. (NOT REMUS! WHYYY J.K ROWLING WHYY!!!???) And now that you're finished....

there's more to the story.

Two. Titles. Fantastic Beasts, & The Cursed Child.

So, now that you're done, you can learn ALLOT MORE about the Wizarding world. J.K Rowling set up this wonderful site, it's www.pottermore.com (sorry Admins for advertising) and it answers ALL your leftover questions. Just click Continue (or you can listen to J.K), and then click Discover (top left corner if you move the cursor around) and type in ALL your questions.

Also, what house are you in? If you haven't been sorted theres a sorting quiz on Pottermore.... just search Sorting, I think. And you can get outfitted with a wand... *sighs dreamily*

Yours truly, Icicle Lupin (or just Icy, in most of my posts)

Whoa. Some of you guys took years to finish this?! I can't imagine that at all. When I start a series, I am determined to finish it as fast as possible no matter what. I'm a also a pretty fast reader, so I finished HP in about a week or two. The agony I would be in if I had to finish it in several years you couldn't imagine, gosh. That would be like a living nightmare for me. O.O

I finished HP in a week when I was in third grade.

Honestly? I thought that *SPOILERS* Hedwig's death was really sad. She didn't DO anything! It was a symbol of lost innocence, I guess, but still. And Dobby, Remus, and Sirius were all horrible too.

We are gathered here today in remembrance of Dobby, Hedwig, Remus John Lupin,Nymphadora Tonks,Fred Weasley, and Siris Ar-something Black.

Luna, you spoke our very thoughts that we were all thinking the moment when Bellatrix threw her knife into..... Dobby. And now we gather here in celebration of Cayke's full maturity and understanding of the Wizarding World, and also to mourn those who were lost in the battle of Hogwarts.

Cayke, we salute you for reading that book, finishing that last page, and riding that emotional rollercoaster.

And now, a ButterBeer toast. First to Cayke, and second to those that were lost in the battle of Hogwarts. (except for Collin Creevy, nobody loves him-JUST KIDDING, he didn't deserve to die.)

Cheers!

(Icy confesses that she wrote this because she was bored and figured that being sad was better than being bored. Well, sad for them, happy for Cayke)
