I would want my best friend to be Remus.

He''s my favorite character. Who wouldn't want to be best friends with him? He was tortured since he was five, he didn't have any friends until he was 11, and he had to lie to them for ages before they found out. And after his friends became animagi just for him, a few years later they were all gone. One dead, one supposedly dead, and one in Azkaban, leaving the fourth marauder all alone. HIs mother died and he didn't want to hurt his father so he didn't move back with him. He was unable to find paid work because of what he was. He spent 12 years alone before accepting the Defence Against the Dark Arts job and meeting his friend's son, Harry. Less than a year later, after he found out that the friend that he thought was a traitor turned out to be innocent and they reunited, he resigned from his job because Snape had blabbed to everyone about his condition. Parents weren't likely to want their children exposed to a werewolf. 2 years later, he lost his best friend Sirius! And he didn't want to marry the girl of his dreams, Dora Tonks, because he didn't want her to become an outcast for marrying a werewolf. Finally, with a lot persuasion, she convinced him. Not long after they were married, Remus discovered that she was pregnant. He fled, convinced that the child would be a werewolf like himself, and that it would be better without him as a father. Harry convinced him to go back afterwards, and the proudest day of Remus's life was when his new son Teddy was born. Harry was named godfather. Barely a few months afterwards, he and his wife were both killed during the battle of hogwarts on May 2, 1998, trying to make a better world for their son to live in.

Who wouldn't want to be Remus's best friend? 

My best friend would be Ginny because she is not afraid to speak her mind. AND she is super tough because she has 5 older brothers!
