I have a problem. It involves science books. Don't get me wrong, I love science!!!! You see, there are two types of science books in the world: the kiddie ones with 2 mm spines that only teach the very basics of the subject, and the big, fat adult volumes without a single picture in them. Neither of which will help me learn anything. It's so frustrating!!!! There are so few young adult science books in this world, as if we don't care about science, too.
Do you know any good science books? Ones that teach the basics, but then go way beyond them? If you do, please tell me! I will give you so many virtual doughnuts. :)

General Science is what I use (For homeschool). I use the seventh-grade edition (it's the first one) and it has interesting experiments, cool pictures, and it thoroughly teaches an intro to all the general fields of science such as archaeology, how they approve ancient documents as true, technology and how it's different from real science, DNA, and so much more! (I have just started doing it. It really is awesome! Unless you already have heard of and finished the course, in which case this is a pointless post.)
Chip says Dryd. Dried, not dryd, Chip, you should learn some grammar.

Well, I don't think our library has it, but maybe yours does; if it's a big enough library. Christianbook.com sells it. Except you've got to order it with a card of some sort; so that complicates things.
