Book Quote Game!...

Book Quote Game!

In honor of the CBIC, I am bringing this lovely, classic game back to life! It's a very easy game with very easy rules. One person posts a book quote, and if another person knows it, they reply with the answer and a new quote! For example:

CBer #1: "The end of the world started when a horse landed on the roof of my car."

CBer #2: Percy Jackson #3!

"You are familiar with the Tale of the Three Brothers, am I correct?" said _____."

And so on.

I have just one rule: Make sure the last comment is up before you post! Please! It gets really confusing when more than one person answer a question and post different quotes.

I'll go first.

"No, he knew you'd always want to come back."

I love this game, but I don't know the quote. I'll post as soon as I see one that I know!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Both of them!

If wrong, ignore this. But if right, I hope someone knows this:

"Your aunt will get all up me for being late, but first my car was cactus so I had to borrow your uncle's car and then there was a big bingle on Elm Street. I'm lucky I got here at all!"

I don't know the quote, but one more rule maybe? You aren't allowed to look up the answer.

I don't know about yours, Sydney, but you're right in saying it was The Deathly Hallows. And True, yes, thanks! I forgot that.

This quote is from The Mark of Athena, when Jason and Percy are arguing about who would have killed each other in Kansas if Piper hadn't intervened.  The funniest part is when Annabeth says, "Boys, boys!  I'm sure you both would have been wonderful at killing each other, but you need to rest."

I wanted to post this too but luckily I looked thru the comments first! NERD! ;-)

Nerds (and geeks) RULE THE WORLD!!!!!! That's me and Leafmist and Mei-xue and pretty much everyone on CB. No offense... not that i take any when someone calls me a nerd!

The last quote was posted a few days ago, and I don't want this to die so I'm adding another.

"Not the first time.  Your big sister got me once at camp."

"Yeah but... I could have killed you."

"Or I could have killed you."

I love this quote.

Percy Jackson. I think.

Can I post a new quote? If so:

"Forget what I've been saying, shrimp." I kept my tone light, though I wanted to strangle her." You have a real special gift. No reason to keep it a secret. "

Hewitt's mouth fell open.

 Really?" Zoe asked.

"Sure," I said. "Why not? Show them what you can do. But don't blame me if everyone starts screaming."

For once in her life, Zoe squirmed as all the attention was directed at her.

"What can she do?" Doc sat forward.

I shrugged. "Not many poeple know that she can . . . Pick her nose with her tongue."

Hewitt and Gemma yowled while Pa laughed ouright.

"See? I told you no one wanted to know." I pinned my sister with a hard look.  "Some abilities you have to keep to yourself. "

Not many people have read this book, so I left all the names in.

I really don't want this to die so I'm putting in a new quote.

Squorp hungry, said the creature, giving him the saddest eyes an eagle face could muster. Small scitchy food gross. Its face brightened. Eat small scritchies instad?

I really don't know how popular the series is.  It's written by Tui T. Sutherland and her sister.
