Twilight
Okay, I give...

Okay, I give up. I'm tired of being the only person in the universe who has not read the Twilight books. I know I probably won't like them (romance stories are just not my thing), but I need to read them so I can give my opinion and not just agree with whichever argument sounds best.

*smiles brightly* I haven't read them! Well, I read about half of Twilight, but it bored me to death. XP

Yeah... I will let you know soon my opinion!

You don't want to...

I read Twilight because my best friend shoved the book in my face for weeks until I finally gave in. I thought the plot and characters were ridiculously boring, too. I decided to read the rest of the series to find out what happened next. I thought the story would go nowhere, but it was a mistake and I did it against my will.

For anyone who likes Twilight and everything about it, no offense, but I disagree entirely. For those who dislike Twilight, good for you, and for those who haven't read it yet--DON'T READ IT!!!

Good for you! You can't be against something if ya haven't tried, it, that's what I always say!! ;)

I thought that I wasn't going to like them either (I'm not one for romance stories), but they were pretty good, actually!

Lucky you! I am soooo tired of not having read it, but its because my parents won't let me, YET. Oh well, I'm going to be patient...

I read the first Twilight book and half of the second, but it was so boring that I didn't even bother to finish it. However, parts of Twilight were good, but I don't think Stephenie Meyer is such an amazing author. I would suggest reading something better like Inkheart or Harry Potter or The Mysterious Benedict Society. They all rock! Oh yeah, and the movie of Twilight is absolutely terrible and so is Inkheart. Don't see them, please.

I have read both Harry Potter and The Mysterious Benedict Society. I am trying out Twilight because I am sick of being the only 11-year-old girl in the universe who has not read it.

Although, I know pretty much what it's all about from hearing (well, more like seeing) you guys talk about it. A girl named Bella Swan falls in love with a sparkly vampire named Edward Cullen. They break up and a werewolf named Jacob Black has some sort of role.

Except they're not really werewolves! D'oh! They're just shifters!

...Smeyer, does this mean your vampires aren't really vampires? PLEASE, PLEASE say yes! *begs on hands and knees*

Wait, TNO (umlaut!!), I thought you said they aren't really vampires... they're fairies disguised as vampires disguised as humans...? Did I get that right...?

Lena, I beg of you, DO NOT GIVE IN. You're not the only eleven-year-old girl in the universe who hasn't read them! I haven't! And the only reason I will when I'm older is to better my anti-Twilight argument. So unless you're absolutely sure you won't go all addicted groupie on us, PLEASE don't!

I was joking, because smeyer's vampires *sparkle* in the sunlight. Fairies sparkle; vampires don't. Therefore, I hypothesize that meyerpires are really fairies in disguise. *nodnod*

But, in canon, they are vampires, though it pains me to admit.

Don't worry, I won't go all fangirl on you. However, I will be honest with you when I read it. I placed a hold at the library, but it's taking forever to get the book.... grrr; I hate waiting! I want it to hurry up so I can tell you what I think.

Why D'oh!? Keep in mind that I haven't actually read these books, I'm just gathering from what you say...

In the last book smeyer reveals, for no apparent reason, that the werewolves are not really werewolves, but shifters who happen to turn into wolves. It's not in the least important to the plot, mind, it's just something she through in, I dunno, to save the face of at least one myth?
