Eragon
Eragon is a...

Eragon is a great book! It's about a boy named Eragon who lives in a world called Alagaesia. When he's out hunting at the begining, he finds this blue egg and takes it back to his house. It turns out that it's a dragon egg! The blue dragon that hatches is named Saphira. After Saphira grows much bigger, some evil people called the Raz'zac attack Eragon's farm and mortally wound his uncle. I won't spill to much of it, but it's a great book!

Eragon and sequels, are good, but Paolini is still an amateur writer. He leaves some big gaps. However, I also think that if he continues writing other books, he will get really good.

I adore the Inheritance series! I read Eragon in three days and Eldest (the sequel) in five. I thought the author did a good job keeping the writing consistant, but mostly I was too excited about the story line to notice much about the structure.

Does anyone know when the next book is coming out? I think my brother said it was supposed to be called Brisinger.

yep, it's Brisinger. I was  a bit disapointed when i heard that because i thought the time should start with "E". i think it's supposed to some out in September- about time too!

I was also expecting a title with an "E". Did you know that there's going to be a fourth book, too?! Apparently there was going to be too much story to fit in just three books, so he's writing another one--don't know when it's supposed to come out, though.

So he's going to be another one of those authors with, "the XX book in the increasingly inaccurately named Inheritance trilogy" in the title? (loves for DA) Wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, I guess...

Yeah, Brisingr comes out on september...5th? Not really sure on the exact date, but anyway, I just can't wait!!!!! i though the movie was crap though, and Eragon was a lot better than Eldest in my opinion.

PS: I'm really a girl.

Eragon was an OK book but you could really tell that the Author got most of his ideas from things like "Star Wars" and "The Lord Of The Rings" but if he keeps writing it should get Alot better

Well obviously, it was inspired by/based on Star Wars, which, in turn, was stolen almost directly from Lord of the Rings. I thought everybody knew that...

Or maybe most people don't over-analyze these things...

I haven't read the book, but I LOVED the movie. So I am about to read the books. Are they good? I've heard great things about them. The only thing wrong with the movie, though, was that it was exactly like star wars episode four. So much alike, in fact, that it almost made me laugh out loud. Is the book that close to it? Anyway, love dragons, love fantasy, love life. Peace.
