Well, I literally just started to write a book, but it's not very good yet.

I am in the middle of writing a book, too! I was actually plotting out the rest of the series before I got on here!

I'm over 3/4 of the way done with my first book. It's a fantasy action story based in the land of my favorite video game ever. I hope to eventually send it into the company to get feedback, as I hope to work for them someday...

I try, but every time I fail miserably, get ticked off, and usually end up throwing something or abusing my computer.

Dear hotairballoon,

I don't know if you're doing this already, and I know you're going to hear it from, like, EVERYONE, but I would do something else artsy for inspiration instead of just sitting at the computer with a blank Word document in front of you.

Sometimes, in my humble opinion, the best option is to sleep! (I have some of my best ideas for stories come from both dreams and nightmares alike.) As my teacher used to say, "If you can't get the problem in 10 minutes, switch to something else and go back to the problem later."

Also, another tip: don't delete your ideas that you "failed miserably" on (which I'm sure you didn't!)! You may decide later that they are not a failed attempt.

And one more thing...don't throw around anything valuable...or abuse your computer.  A word of warning from someone who tried to climb in a hammock while holding an iPad for ultimate summer pleasure and instead ended up with a broken iPad and three weekend's worth of cleaning all three bathrooms...I would tread carefully.
