I hate this series so much! I just finished it. It is very poor writing, and Tris dies. Agh!!!

I've read book 1 and 2, and I thought it was great! It was a little confusing at some parts, but I thought the writing was fantastic! Although the romance between Tris and Tobias was annoying and a little over the edge.

And Tris DIES?! Boy, that's a depressing end.

The romance was way way way way way over the top. And I listened to the first and second ones on audiobook, so I couldn't skim over the romantic parts.

I actually found it okay- but it was definitely one of the series where the first book is the best and the last is mediocre. Tris dying is soooooooooo sad:(

I read the first 2 books, but when I was at summer camp, I found out that Tris dies. I was so MAD! Not so mad at the person who said it but at Veronica Ross! Why would she do that! Grrrrrrrrrrrr...

Personally I enjoyed the first Divergent book, however the second really wasn't that great and the last one wasn't that good either. I thought it was strange that the third book was suddenly written from two different perspectives as the others weren't...

I figured out Tris dies really easily because of the two perspectives.

@S.E.- Yes, I agree. I sort suspected that was the reason why she did that.

@Abigail A.- HI! :) Well, I had a really busy school year and then there was summer vacation and I just stopped posting. But I will try to post more often. Promise! :D (I really cannot wait to take part in a new RPs.)

I absolutly loved Divergent, but the series just went downhill from there. Being divergent in Divergent and Insurgent meant that you were something special, but in Allegiant it meant that you were just normal. I feel that she focused to much on the four and tris love story in Insurgent and Allegiant. There was too much death, and I feel that Tris' death was easily avoidable.

Divergent is an awful ripoff of The Hunger Games, and it ripped off The Giver so much! I hate it.

Also, I think Tris and Four are both stupid meatheads.

*perches chin on hands* Well. It seems I've found some very good specimens of blooming young haters.

*puts hands in the air* Don't shoot me but I did like all the Divergent books. Sure, some parts could be better *coughcoughi'mlookingatyoutrisandfourcoughcough* but I really did like Veronica Roth's writing style and choice of topics. Plus, her depiction of Tris's POV was astounding. I've never seen an author who crafted their main character so well and wrote the story from their POV. Tris was an extremely defined character and main characters who have a sotry written in first person from their POV aren't usually very well defined. Apart from Percy Jackson. Obviously.

And also, I just wanted to say that it seems like you guys are saying Tris dying was somehow bad? I just don't really understand that. For the story to work, she did need to die and it wasn't a bad thing that she did. If she hadn't been killed, it would have crippled both her character development and the story. That would have been bad.

Anyways, that's my opinion. Continue on with your hating.

I read a thing on Roth's blog that said Tris died so that she could "become her mother and father." By selfishness standards. But she also said it was easily avoidable.
