When You Reach Me
This was the...

This was the best book I've read for school yet. It seems like it's just about this girl in NYC but then turns out to be waaay better. Any other fans out there? Oh yeah, all the references to A Wrinkle in Time were great too because that's one of my favorite books. Calling all fans!!! If you don't like it, you're welcome to comment too.:)

I read this book about a year ago - and at first I really didn't like it. I don't really like this kind of telling of the story, you tell a lot of things at once, and explain them later - much later in the story (I kind of like that sort now.). Plus, I was tired when I read it, and that didn't help my mind. But when I finished it - oh my gosh, I loved the story so much. And I still do. It's an awesome book.

To anyone who's wondering, this book is about a girl who is about 12 years old and lives in New York. Her mom is always trying to get into this game show, she has no father, and she's best friends with this boy next door (NOT in a romantic way, if anyone wants to know). At the beginning of the story, her friend is punched in the stomach, and then he's changed - he won't talk to her, and just about tries to ignore her existance. Then she starts to get mysterious letters from someone - but she doesn't know who. A lot of other factors come into play, and throughout the corse of one school year, this story unravels. It is awesome. (Also, this is what got me to read A Wrinkle in Time. Extra points for this book.)

Almost ditto! My dad wanted me to read it, so I read it on the car ride home from our gramparents. Aweseome story- has anyone else read her other book, Liar and Spy? I, personally, think it's boderline-pathetic after this amazing story.

I started listening to Liar and Spy on an audiobook, but stopped, because I didn't really like the reader, and I thought the book was uninteresting. But this could be because in order to really grasp the book and know it, I need to read the book and not just listen to it.

I loved this one! I read it for Battle of the Books and it was pretty great. The ending really suprised me. It made me want to read A Wrinkle in Time. I sadly haven't read it yet. But I loved hanging with Miranda in this book. And for those who don't know, this book takes place in the '70s.

Oh yeah!

I've read that book! It's a little confusing at some parts, but it's really suspenseful!

If you like time travel and sci-fi-fiction, then you will one this.

By the way, has anyone read the book "Liar and Spy" by the same author?

Oh my gosh, I LOVE this book! Who's your favorite character? I like... Oh, I don't know... Colin or Annemarie? I really think Sal should have just told Miranda that he didn't want to hang out with her.
